The musical continuity of The Wall and Final Cut... the first two stand strong... this one doesn't. Sorry Roger

a shameful cover, perhaps as much as the album itself. Even "Radio Kaos" was indecent. As a teenager, I was obsessed with Pink Floyd, but today I wonder why; "The Wall" is a heavy-handed work on the verge of tastefulness, and the last thing I like is "Echoes."

    A typically Pink Floyd cover.

Let's say that over the years he has become increasingly pompous; for me, the peak (of pomposity) was reached with Amused to Death, but The Wall is still worthy of attention. Let it be clear, attention, not compliments.

Just for Clapton's guitar, it deserves the highest score. Secondly, Waters is loved and cannot be debated. Amused To Death represents his solo peak and is not at all pompous; it is a masterpiece, considering the lineup of guest artists.

I consider a masterpiece based on the compositions, not on who performed them. An album can be pompous and a masterpiece at the same time. For me, however, Amused to Death is just pompous, not a masterpiece. That doesn’t mean it’s bad, it just means it’s pompous.

Is it clear that I find it pompous? If not, I’ll say it again...

Just the three parts of 'what God wants' would be enough to annihilate anyone; one must not confuse the search for the perfect sound with pomposity.

Damn Perfect, but after how many years did you finally reply???
For me, Amused was and remains a pompous hodgepodge, just like The Wall: both contain beautiful tracks (see What God Wants) but both drown in a sea of self-referentiality and pretentiousness.
"Look at me, I'm Waters, I'm good and I'm cool," okay, but come on, enough already...

It continues to move me in its entirety, pardon the timing.

Of course, I don't expect others to agree with my opinion. If it moves you, I understand why and I'm happy for you; even though I find it pretentious, we're certainly not talking about cheap trivial music...
