Obituary: The End Complete
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
"The End Complete" remains for me the best album by the guys from Florida; the production by Scott Burns is excellent, managing to create their Death Metal filled and dense with dark sounds, culminating in nine compact, terrifying, ferocious tracks. A wall of sound that gives no respite, from the opener "I'm in Pain" to the song that closes the collection "Rotting Ways," everything is aimed at the pursuit of that overwhelming heaviness that disorients the listener, with a growl that impresses.
Obituary: Cause of death
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
I start with the cover: one of the most terrifying in terms of depicted images, immediately making you understand the heinous content of Obituary's second album. And the album title is yet another warning signal; a Death Metal characterized by those guitar sounds so low, grim, and dark that they "disturb" the listening experience. The presence of James Murphy, a luxurious guest in this work on guitar, only makes the sound even denser and heavier...DYING...
Obituary: World Demise
CD Audio I have it ★★★★
World Demise is the fourth release from the band hailing from Florida; an album released in 1994 that aims to highlight the group's successful attempt to find new paths, new musical directions. Twelve tracks make up a compact, violent work, but with a slowed-down, exaggerated execution speed; the impact remains overwhelming, crushing, as in the track that opens the album "Don't Care," where John Tardy's roar comes straight from the realm of the dead...SPLATTERED...
Om: God Is Good
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
"God is good" and merciful, I add; because He has allowed us to enjoy listening to the OM and this record. Only four tracks, with the endless opening entrusted to "Thebes": the beginning of a journey, a spiritual ascent, meditative, with closed eyes that liberates you from all negativity, leading you finally, exhausted but with a celestial inner peace, to the second chapter "Meditation is the Practice of Death": the doors of a Tibetan monastery swing wide open...

I should revisit it... I remember it being excellent, but I haven't followed them anymore. Just one thing disappointed me, given the psychedelic nature of the tracks: the short duration, I think under 40 minutes. It's like going to a great restaurant but leaving a bit hungry. Happy New Year, dear Dema, I hope you and I will find a lasting job.
Opeth: Damnation
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
The album that one wouldn't expect from an extreme group like Opeth; it’s the skillful hands of Steven Wilson that guide the Swedish combo in a largely acoustic work, rich in intimate and relaxing moments in their flow, far from the Death fury of their early days. The track "Closure" is intensely chilling, my favorite: a song that develops with a steady growth, leading to the instrumental conclusion where the guitars of Mikael and Peter weave a tapestry with an Arabic flavor.

In my opinion, "5" stars are too many. They would be more suitable for "Deliverance," a great album underrated by most. "Damnation," in my view, is a very enjoyable album...but Opeth had accustomed us to works of a much higher caliber. Are you going to see them in November?

While I appreciate almost their entire discography, aside from the last two works which are too prog-oriented, I find Damnation to be a five-star album precisely for its uniqueness; I don't think I'll be able to see them in November due to financial constraints.
