Splendidly arranged pop disco, and of course Mr. Cross knows his stuff. It's a shame about the song structures, clichéd and sometimes boring.

Coldplay: Parachutes

Whether one appreciates the band's evolution over the years or not, this debut work is breathtaking: the arrangements are subtle, sweet, and refined, and Martin's vocals are magnetic and meaningful. Of course, the debts to other groups are many, but the feeling with which they approached this work is genuine and personal.
