I have the faint feeling that the Lemon Kittens don’t have much of a following here on Debaser. Yet, for crying out loud, she even had a role in Fripp's League Of Gentlemen! A unique artist, a true genius, and a multi-instrumentalist to boot.

the long-forgotten debut of this English girl. it was 1999. she had worked for the massive attack who preferred O'Connor. then the turning point in unz unz. but this album was the perfect pop of the turn of the millennium.

I discovered that I had already known her through the trip-hop group One Dove (which has one rather unmemorable album), and then the solo career that I was unaware of.

Just to avoid misunderstandings, it's nothing transcendental, but it's a pleasant and beautiful album. Maybe it's because I love female voices... anyway, give this a try and listen to it.
