Oblivians: Sympathy Sessions

Laid-back and filthy garage-punk. Perhaps my favorite collection from these depraved garage musicians.
OFF!: First Four EPs
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
The OFF! In other words, a joyful bunch of veterans coming together to unleash shards of pure, rancid, and unfiltered hardcore punk as if it were still 1981. 16 tracks for 18 minutes flat. Nothing new, of course. But I revel in this stuff like a hedgehog. On the microphone, we have what I consider to be one of the greatest vocalists of the genre: Mr. Keith Morris [Black Flag/Circle Jerks].
One of the most "punk" Rap albums I've ever had the chance to listen to (in the sense of freedom, madness, vulgarity, fun, and the genius it possesses). A madman. He and the Clan have been among the coolest things in the history of Rap.
Opal: Early Recordings
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
Compilation of outtakes and other unreleased recordings. Here we find ourselves faced with 13 equally 'acid' gems but with a dreamy quietness, stripped of the feedback and distortions that dominated their only, splendid album from 1987 "Happy Nightmare Baby." There are cases where a 'scraps' record is as beautiful as an official release. Wonderful Opal....
Os Mutantes: Mutantes
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
An album that overflows with madness and genius from every pore. A Brazilian tropicalia band completely off the rails and high on LSD.

I just got it from a private seller on Amazon. I read this definition months ago and I wanted to take your advice. One of the last CD copies. You have no idea how much I hope for it... but usually you're right, so I will eagerly await the little package.
Matthew Smith was a bit of a genius in my opinion. And this album from 2001 is a masterpiece of raw psychedelic garage pop. An album I've worn out, along with its predecessor, the equally cool "Out There In The Dark." They may be revivalists, yes, but damn, Matthew had something extra: he knew how to write fantastic songs.

Outrageous Cherry: Out There in the Dark
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Another small masterpiece by Matthew Smith and company, released in '99. 13 low-fidelity gems, featuring sticky and beautiful freakbeat melodies ("Georgie don't you Know," "Togheterness," "Corruptable"), garage punk outbursts ("Song for Inoshiro Honda"), and lysergic wonders (the almost Barrett-esque "Eclipsed," the stunning title track, and the long interstellar trip of the closing "There's No Escape From The Infinite")_The Detroit of recent years, nothing compared to the White Stripes..

Sure! Apart from if you suffer from epilepsy, in that case it is highly discouraged :)

Um, yes, I had listened to the first 24-minute track and I really tried to get into it, but... it's not for me, at least not much. Cool idea, though.

But no, I've already listened to normal cosmic journeys and alien stuff or completely off-the-wall things; it's just that this is a bit too monotonous, really too much, even for someone who really liked "Earth 2" to say. Its strength lies here, of course, but I won't be drinking tea over it :)

To each their own :) Just like I can't stand Genesis, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, etc... Damn, I was just re-listening to "Earth 2" this morning.

Yes, I missed it and then some time ago I gathered my courage and listened to it. Beautiful and devastating, I have a few neurons still telling me to fuck off :D
