Damon & Naomi: Damon & Naomi With Ghost
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
The two former Galaxie 500 kick off the new millennium with one of the most beautiful albums of the decade that was just about to begin, accompanied not by just any band, but by the colossal shamans of Japanese psychedelia, Ghost. A blend of dreamy folk rock, progressive electroacoustic weavings, and lysergic bursts. A must-have.

They are a good group, the records I've heard were nice, I have "False Beats and....", I don't remember the title, always with the Ghost in the studio and it's not bad. On the other hand, the Luna by Dean Wareham don't say anything to me. This is great.

Gianluigi, same here.. I don't like the Luna. @Mr.Money is tempting, yes, it’s a killer album.
Das Damen: Triskaidekaphobe
Vinile I have it ★★★★
Great work by this semi-unknown band to most. Released in '88 under Greg Ginn's SST, it's a sort of cross between something reminiscent of Dinosaur Jr and a certain psychedelia straddling the '60s and '70s. Too bad the rest of their discography won't live up to this raw gem. Well, now I can go out and get drunk...

I had the record, but it fell out of the window.
David Bowie: The Man Who Sold The World

The first high-quality work of ours. Great album.

I agree (but Space Oddity is also a really great album)

Mmm.. I respect your tastes, but aside from the title track and a couple of other songs, I remember it being quite mediocre Space Oddity.
David Bowie: Hunky Dory
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
The perfect pop album.

For me, his best album, or more precisely, the one I enjoy listening to the most, I should mention that I have all of his "five stars." I must still confess that the "Duca Bianco" has never really driven me crazy.

Well...I don't really like this period of Dylan. For me, his perfect POP album is Scary Monster.

eheheh...Freudian slip. Bowie, of course, not Dylan :D

For me too, Rano. This is absolutely my favorite by Bowie. I literally adore it. Hank, what can I say? It's a matter of taste :D But until Scary Monsters (which I'm not crazy about), Bowie is almost like a pig, nothing goes to waste... the trouble will start right after, unfortunately...

Yes, after Scary Monster there's a bit of fluff, but then he came out with Outside and Earthling with the ever-mourned Trent from the golden days (oh, he's still cool anyway). The fact remains that in my opinion, Bowie is a magnified reflection of his collaborators of the moment, whom he always chose with great class.

Yeah, Outside was really a great album! Earthlings was decent... a bit messy, in my opinion. I don’t know, all those Dn'B insertions sometimes seemed a bit forced to me.
Dead Meadow: Howls From the Hills
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
Heavy, liquid wave of acid riffs and slowed-down cadences that at times brush against certain doom ('One And Old')... when Dead Meadow were a band with real balls. The last one made me cry, in a bad way... but that's another story.

One day, I will have to start listening to them; right from this record.

For me, this one and the next, 'Shivering king...', are beautiful. 'Feathers' is lovely too, but for me, they've caught early Alzheimer's.
Deerhunter: Cryptograms
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
Great album. Acidic and twisted. Before the pop perfection of the subsequent 'Microcastle/Weird Era'. Among the best works of the past decade.
Deftones: Around The Fur
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
In its genre, a really cool album. High-quality Post HC/Crossover with melodies expertly blended in a New Wave memory. Nothing to do with crap like Limp Bizkit, Korn, and the likes.

Come on, the first Korn is not bad at all, actually...

I prefer Deftones, but Korn isn't bad either: their debut is a masterpiece, and I really like the other three that came after; as for Limp Bizkit, I only like the first three albums.
dEUS: Worst Case Scenario
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
Classic band that burst onto the scene with one of the coolest albums in history, but in my opinion, they never managed to follow it up with anything equally valid. A milestone of twisted rock and jazzy sounds from the '90s, alongside "Yes" by Morphine and "Ruby Vroom" by Soul Coughing. After that, not much else...

I've already expressed my thoughts on dEUS (perhaps too much), so I won't repeat myself, but I don't know Soul Coughing. What do they (did they) do?
Dirty Three: Ocean Songs
Vinile I have it ★★★★★
Another masterpiece from this immense Australian trio. An album of rare beauty.
Disco Inferno: DI Go Pop
CD Audio I have it ★★★★★
A record so crazy and uncategorizable today, imagine at the time of its release in '94. When it was still rare to dare to use labels like post-rock/math-core/post-hc and various nonsense. A masterpiece... an important record at least as significant as 'Spiderland'...

Incredible album. For this record, the term post-rock truly makes sense; they’ve created a flying disc, an unidentifiable sonic object. Post-rock really has meaning with "DI Go Pop," even if it wasn’t as cool as mentioning "Spiderland."

"Amulet" stunningly "psychiatric," an example of "therapeutic mantra" with an opiate slowness and magical archaicism. Whispers of the wizard John and ethno-tribal chants with dark hues in the jungle of styles, for what I do not hesitate to consider an "absolute masterpiece."
