  All great names, Dragon, even though for some (almost all, to be honest :D) I would have chosen other works instead of the ones you picked. They are just details, anyway. ;) I recommend, since we are in the realm of singer-songwriters, also Venditti ("Lilly"), Graziani ("Agnese dolce Agnese") but especially Dalla ("Come è profondo il mare"). Something that goes slightly beyond the canonical concept of "singer-songwriter" can be found in early Sorrenti ("Aria") and in some works of Battisti ("Anima Latina"). Great ranking.

    Thank you, Syd, I had thought about the albums you mentioned, but I got stuck on the top 10, and so they were left out. As you yourself noticed, it’s a ranking very close to singer-songwriter in the traditional sense of the term. The only exceptions are Battiato and Rino, who are already towards the last spots. In fact, if I included Franco, maybe Alan would fit in well too... ...even without maybe!
