Oeh, but the Pinchi Floidi? Anyway, hell yeah. I see how it goes on and when it stops, but first let's keep breaking :D

Oh, there's no need to kneel on chickpeas :D Now, though, add Saucerful of Secrets oh! :D Jokes aside, I have nothing to say about the American side of psychedelia; in fact, there are 3 names I will listen to for the first time in the extremely near future. Then, if you're up for something psychedelic from Germany and some notable names from the psychedelia of the '80s and '90s, I can share that with you. Beautiful ranking, in any case.

I completely forgot about the English, I really wanted to put Sergeant Pepper by my heroes the Beatles as the absolute first, what a shame!! Ahahah, just kidding of course, right? How can you comment so quickly?

In what sense "fast"? I saw on de-succede that you were making this ranking and I came to comment when work was still underway. Actually, I'm not very fast; that's why in over three years I've only entered the chat twice—I couldn't keep up with the pace :D You should have included the Birtolz though. First, second, third, fourth, and fifth, and even 22nd. The Birtolz invented rankings on debaser XD

Ah Hell, try listening to Amon Duul II (albums: Phallus Dei, Yeti, and Tanz der Lemminge) and Ash Ra Tempel (self-titled, Schwingungen) for the Germans. The German scene of the '70s is a world apart that takes different paths, all distinctly separate from classic psychedelia, yet in some cases more than others, the matrix is clearly that (especially the Space made in Floyd). Also try Guru Guru and my beloved Can (especially Monster Movie might appeal to you, although for me the best lies in the trilogy Tago Mago-Ege Baymasi-Future Days). If you didn’t understand a word of what I said, let me know and I’ll try to explain myself better in a private message.

Do you know Hawkwind? While bands like Flaming Lips, Mercury Rev, Bardo Pond, Hash Jar Tempo, Roy Montgomery, and a couple of others (Ozric Tentacles and Spacemen 3, whom I don’t recommend since I don’t know them very well) have flown the psychedelic flag high in the '80s and '90s (they might even make you reassess those decades, eh eh). Surely there are others that I’m missing or that I don’t know at all yet.

Got it, I'll write down the names.. I only know Amon Duul, listened to them only on YouTube, they might be interesting. I'll look for the others, never heard of them, but your suggestions are always intriguing, I'll take care of it. As for The Beatles, I wanted to include them all, from the Yellow Submarine to the Ringo Starr band; after all, they outshine everyone, psychedelic speaking, especially Yoko Ono... (just kidding, I might as well put in the Liscioterapia orchestra that played in my town in July...)

Hawkwind are very good, I didn't include them because I'm not even sure if they're psychedelic.. Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev I heard about in high school from friends, I don't remember much about them, I'm making a shopping list. The '80s are hard to digest! I don't know much, but we'll see! Thanks for the tips as always.

Well, Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev (who are '90s anyway, and the Lips have crossed decades too) with the '80s sounds that you find hard to digest have nothing to do with it. There are plenty of bands that stray from those sounds, but right now it doesn't seem like the time to list 789 names that you'll never manage to listen to properly before 2045 :D Anyway, come on, Hawkwind are the standard-bearers of Space-Rock, more psychedelia than that. Oh yes, I recommended them to you in the other chart as well, give Gong a listen ;)

Eheheheh :D For me, you could have also included Revolver, but let’s say that if the Pistols aren't there, I won't cry, you know. As for the Germans, in my humble opinion, Amon Duul II are the ones that fit your taste because, after all, they are still tied to clear traces of very dark Blues and Rock. Others, like the Tago Mago from the triad I mentioned earlier, take different paths; they are something completely new. In this sense, I’m mainly thinking of Faust and cosmic messengers like Tangerine Dream and Klaus Schulze. But watch out, eh, because the Germans can be tough; they're truly crazy trippers. Try to listen to something from the first Faust :D With those from the '80s and '90s, you shouldn't have too many problems, or rather, Bardo Pond and Hash Jar might seem challenging, but I believe the Flaming Lips, with their inherent irony and lightness, will just slide right by you like oil. Also the first two albums by Mercury Rev.

Yes, maybe Revolver, but I don’t want to give them that satisfaction... maybe I'll start checking them out on the tube, I'm interested, I'll let you know in the next few days... I could also have included the Stones with Majestic but that's not their stuff, Saurceful by the Floyd is another oversight, but I could have included others too, anyway... thanks!

You're welcome, I'll await your impressions then :) But you could have included a solo album by Ringo ahahahaha

Excellent records, nothing to say, even though some, in my opinion, shouldn’t be defined as psychedelic, for example, the Big Brother. I only see records from the '60s; psychedelia has produced remarkable works even in years closer to us. Maybe you don’t consider them comparable to the works of the past; rightly so, the ranking was made by you.

These July, from how well you talk about them, are starting to attract me... But the Flaming Lips were there XD

I know many of them and many others I don't, but it seems to me excellent and complete, focusing on the original psychedelia of the 60s, as all rankings on psychedelia should be in my opinion, otherwise the term applies to really too much, too much stuff in the following decades.

I really love original psychedelia, whether it's pop, acid rock, English or American; I know little to nothing about the later years. This has always been one of my musical passions, some discovered years ago, others just recently. I updated it with a few albums I had forgotten...hello!

There was a moment when I got really into psychedelia: I discovered bands like Byrds, Jefferson Airplane, Barrett solo, Pretty Things, Love, etc., which added to what I had already been listening to for quite a while from that era, like the usual suspects Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Velvet Underground, Doors, etc. Undoubtedly one of my favorite decades (the other being the 90s) which I personally prefer over the 70s. Hi Hellraiser!

Just a reminder to emphasize my appreciation. Not long ago, I sampled H.P. Lovecraft while listening to the track "At the Mountains of Madness"... Damn! It's a blast.

I discovered H.P. with my good friend Rano; I didn't know who they were. I managed to get both of their albums a while back, and I must say they're excellent. If you get the chance, I recommend both of them, especially the second one, the one with Mountains, but not only that—it's great from start to finish, it's worth considering! Thanks… (I'm re-listening to Cave, and you know what? It's really not bad at all. I’ll explore his earlier albums more thoroughly; he never convinced me before, but only fools don’t change their minds…)

Yes, I will definitely delve into Lovecraft. As for Cave, I can only be happy about it; after all, his vision of the Blues is one of those I appreciate the most.

Beautiful, even though I would throw in a "Gris-Gris" by Dr. John.
