  Rory is the perfect guitarist, live he is fantastic, (is that better?). He is the prototype of the technical English guitarist, even though he was obviously Irish, very effective and concise; any of his records works, including those with Taste. The 'Irish Tour '74 is truly a great live album, you should listen to it.

  I add that this is not the Cream live album I prefer, but I couldn't find Volume 1; it doesn't show up here, but for me, the first one is from 1970. Just "N.S.U." is worth the entire history of rock. You told me that they are not just hard, meaning you highlighted the blues side, fine, but have you heard tracks like "Sweet Wine"? Look, there's no denying it, no one will ever convince me of anything that surpasses "N.S.U.", precisely. I've always dreamed of being able to play something like that live. Where Clapton places the notes, not even "God" can do that, and here I've said it all.

  I encourage you to listen to "N.S.U." at a rather high volume on your Hi-Fi system, get yourself into a nice comfortable position, and let yourself be "overwhelmed" by this overflowing river. What a wonder! A balance of forces, power, and inventiveness. Unique!
