A voi.

Knowing a bit about your tastes, which, as you say, aren’t all that different from mine, I am pleasantly surprised to see Ronnie James Dio on the list, and quite high up too. I adore him and definitely consider him AMONG the best in the metal genre, BUT not the absolute best. I refrain from recommending who I think is the best because you’ve already told me you don’t like his band. It's also nice to see Fogerty, Van Zant, Allman, and Billy Joel on there.

I really appreciate God, he was great but I won't say he was the absolute best in his genre, I just say he had a voice perfectly suited to the style and also a remarkable range, which allowed him to feel comfortable in the hardest tracks as well as in the ballads. As for Robert Plant (I think you’re referring to him), hats off, I didn't mention him just because there are other bands I prefer over Led Zeppelin, but he is a singer who has made history, no doubt; although his vocal ability - extraordinary in the beginning - has lost a lot over the years.

Rod Stewart is a has-been... The rest is just fine... (yes, I was about to annoy everyone with Hammill :D)

No matte, when I was talking about the best of God in the HM field, I meant Halford from Judas Priest, and I know you don't like him, so maybe you haven't listened to his voice too much. Anyway, I hadn't noticed the absence of Plant, and indeed it's a painful blow for me, but the important thing is that his greatness is always and anyway recognized.

But no, I can listen to some Judas Priest, unlike Motörhead and Def Leppard... Nice voice, yes, but for my tastes, I find Dio to be a bit more versatile.

Just one thing, have you listened to Sad Wings of Destiny by Judas? If you haven't, I recommend it and then I'd like your opinion. To return the favor for the band you recommended to me recently. And speaking of them, why don't you review them since they don't even exist on the deb? (I don't remember the name of the band, but I think you understand.)

I will promptly address my shortcomings regarding Judas. As for the Japanese, I will definitely think about it. I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I will publish new reviews as soon as possible.

Anyway, start with the album I suggested: "sad wings of destiny" also because the rest is quite outside your norms, while this one isn’t yet heavy metal in the way we’re used to understanding it and it might appeal to you...
