    Absolutely to be included, in my opinion, are Blue Oyster Cult (Tyranny and Mutation), UFO, Rainbow (Rising), and maybe also the first Judas Priest and the first Queen (Sheer Heart Attack, Queen, Queen II). The top spots are all deserved, but what are the Guns N' Roses doing there? :)

    The guns are there because no other hard rock band from the '80s has ever written a song at the level of Paradise City... as for the names you mentioned, I agree (especially Rainbow and Blue Oyster), but I made the ranking based on my favorite listens, and those don’t make my all-time favorites list... I've never been able to stand Queen...

    YES I KISS YES!! But the Rush, Nazareth, and Skid Row (both bands that carry this name) should be included, you're right.

    Exactly, also Rush, good job including them. You can't stand Queen, but I can't stand Guns :)

    Stone, you know for me a note from Queen II is worth more than the entire discography of Guns, I even like Kiss more than Guns and also AC/DC (can you believe it :D), as for the Roses, nothing at all.

    I honestly haven't heard enough by Whitesnake to judge them. However, I know Ratt and Def Leppard well, and I consider them inferior to the bands I've ranked. Def Leppard had incredible success with Hysteria, but I don't find them special at all. Ratt is a hair metal band like many others; they don’t say much to me.
