    great choice, but the Gories are missing, as well as the bands of Mick Collins and the Jack 'O Fire and Lord High Fixers of Tim Kerr, bands that I consider essential.

    Yeah, recommend me names of new bands that I can hunt down! You have to consider that my friends don’t listen to this genre, so I have to do everything alone... For example, I didn't know the Gories; someone compared them to the Revelators in the comments of my review, so I gave them a listen... I have to say that I prefer the Revelators, but I don’t mind the Gories! Do you know any Italians who are still playing around? Yo.

    Among those still around are Mojomatics and Ray Daytona and the GooGooBombos (and I'm not sure if they still exist) Intellectulas and Felt Ups; I can't think of any others at the moment. Among the classics are Sick Rose, more recent ones include Two Bo's Maniacs, Killer Klowns, Morticia's Lovers... we'll catch up on Geb's dedicated page as soon as it's ready.

    For me, the top three would be Gravedigger V, Tell Tale Hearts, and Miracle Workers (tied with Pandoras). I completely agree on the Nomads.

    Sure, thank you so much for the invites... let me know how to join the group (computers are quite hostile to me). This way, we can keep updated on concerts too (I don't know how to do that either, but the internet isn't much help...).
    I like Oblivians and Soul/Food (the others, I don't know...).
    I've listened to Devil Dogs and Dwarves a bit: I'll look them up again!
    I've never heard of Jack 'O Fire, Lord High Fixers, and Morlocks, I need to dig deeper, just like with the Italians.
    I've only seen the Mojomatics in Monza last year... cool and energetic, but I wasn't really able to connect.
    The only Italians I know are Bingo, Hermits (from Piacenza... super cool, Mummies style with crazy concerts, but I guess they aren't easy to find around, I can take care of that) and Dick Dastardly.

    Great Dick Dastardly but we're on punk here; by the way, the drummer was a friend of mine, I mean the DD broke up years ago. The Homoplastic are great too, and still on the punk side, the Temporal Sluts are absolutely the best Italian punk rock band. I agree on Tell Tale Hearts and Morlocks; I would add those crazy Monks.

    Nice names, something fundamental is missing and I would have included the New Bomb Turks. However, I realize that creating such a niche ranking is very difficult; they are all bands that for one reason or another (even fetishistic), stick to your heart.

    Okay, yesterday after rehearsals with the band, it was listening night:
    - Gravedigger V and The Tell-Tale Hearts: I still need to get a handle on them, but I associate them with the Fuzztones style; they’re the ones I’ll spend the most time on;
    - Morlocks, Miracle Workers, and Lime Spider: oh yeah, we’re doing great! They excite me, but I need to dig deeper there too;
    - Jack O'Fire: attention, attention! They could become one of my all-time favorites (I listened to The Destruction of Squaresville 1994)... they’re already in the rankings... very similar in sound to the Revelators... I want more Jack O'Fire!!!!
