Formed by Greg Lowery with Jon Von (ex-Mr. T Experience) and Jason and Shane White (ex-Fingers), The Rip Offs played raw, 77-style punk captured on a handful of singles and one vinyl-only LP, Got A Record. The band disbanded after that release; Greg Lowery continued playing in other punk projects (Infections, Zodiac Killers) and released records on his label until the early 2000s.

The Rip Offs are presented as a raw, 77-style punk band formed by Greg Lowery with Jon Von and Jason and Shane White. They released a handful of singles and one vinyl-only LP, Got A Record. Their sound mixes filthy, energetic guitars, simple chords and garage touches. After the LP the band disbanded and Greg continued in other punk projects.

For:Fans of 1977-style punk, garage punk, and collectors of vinyl-era punk.

I decided to start a series of reviews of these bands, beginning with what is undoubtedly the best punk rock band of the '90s: the Rip Offs!
