I don't know... It feels like the ranking of the best guitarists of the '70s. Am I wrong?

let me say that Santana is the one who introduced new sounds: latin rock and he should be in first place...

Well, in my opinion, the only one who deserves the top spot is Hendrix, even though what you say is absolutely true... as for the rest, the positions are "somewhat" irrelevant, as I believe they are all 11 monsters of pretty much equal level...
Thanks anyway for the comment! ;)

Really nice ranking, I would have placed Fripp instead of Blackmore and Hackett instead of Gilmour, but those are just minor nuances. Hackett over Van Halen, that makes me really happy!

The problem is that when faced with certain names, it’s almost impossible to establish a "more" correct position... :)

And I completely agree, I could never get them perfectly in order, just the top positions, but then it becomes a gigantic tie.

If Jimi Hendrix died in '70, it means he composed his various masterpieces in the '60s, so you're really deluding yourself.

And then, where is a guy named Brian Eno????

I find it very interesting. However, that photo of Gilmour as an old decorated military officer seems unfair to me.

The photo is indeed terrible, you can't look at it.

@rdegioann452 this is a ranking related to guitarists, so there’s no Brian Eno, who I would definitely have included in a general ranking or one related to keyboardists. ;) Hendrix, on the other hand, holds an "honorary" position.
ps.: change the photo of Gilmour! XD

Okay, but you hadn't specified it at all.

But are there frippertronics in Red?

  • stonecoldcrazy

Actually, I don't think so... you caught me with the only definition whose example is actually wrong, what can I say, I'm obsessed with Red! XD In fact, I could add "The Heavenly Music Corporation" with Eno, thanks anyway for the comment. :)
