For me, they are the number one of the genre. Even though some define them as hard blues (a genre I associate more with bands like Cream), or even blues-folk, to me they remain the pioneers of hard rock, of which they are absolute masters. They have influenced nearly every other hard rock band that came after them. Even Deep Purple, their contemporaries who played a more "classic" blues rock, tried to align themselves with the sound of the lead zeppelin.....SEMINAL..... P.S. I even don't mind the much-maligned "In Through the Out Door"....but maybe I'm just too "biased"....

I don't understand how you could forget people like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, or Thin Lizzy, not to mention Grand Funk Railroad or Rainbow, but the ranking is yours, you can do as you please!

Anyway, really nice, there’s so much good stuff even for jogging... I would also add James Gang with their funk #49; I managed to tackle a 15% incline blasting it in my headphones.
