Battisti 7th? I guess you were tired of making rankings...

Battisti had an unmistakable, magical voice; if he were English, he would be on par with Paul McCartney.

A burp from Wyatt is worth a thousand times more than those senseless whines from Yorke.

Very beautiful, but Battisti is a bit too much here, and let's just say a kind word about York.

I like the suffering that Battisti and Yorke express in their singing, especially Yorke...

I share four (Plant, Battisti, Lennon, and Gabriel), but I would have made totally different choices, both subjective and objective (within certain limits, of course, but "objectively" the absence of Elvis, Sinatra, Armstrong, and Waits, for instance, seems significant...., while subjectively I would have included Colin Hay and definitely Springsteen).... anyway, great discussion, with hypotheticals and infinite developments......

All men, though. At least there should be one woman. I would have put Diane Wallbrook.

It's true, I haven't really considered crooners. I have to say that right now the best crooner is Michael Bublé... don't you agree? Of course, Sinatra and Armstrong are incredible voices, objectively speaking, but then there's also Mina...

Yes, here it is, I would definitely include Mina, defying the world and the purists (and yet, with a bleeding heart, leaving out Ella and Lady Day).

In my opinion, you've never heard Tim Buckley... you've only stuck to his son.

Right, Tim Buckley was in this ranking.

Tim Buckley is one of the best, if not the best.

I know I'm risking a backlash, but in my opinion, putting any bucley among the ten best singers of all time is pure madness... but tastes are tastes, obviously...

Putting the bucley would obviously be pure madness. But the Buckley is a whole other story.
