Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band is obviously the outsider... because the others are, in fact, just goats... I don't understand the snobbery and arrogance with which a singer-songwriter who has written an absolute gem like "Thunder Road" is treated... it’s pure snobbery, haughtiness, simply because he’s had enormous success throughout his career... so should we treat Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven with snobbery as well since they are "Pop" in the sense of "popular".... of course, the comparison between Bruce and Beethoven musically cannot and should not exist... too many orders of magnitude of difference... however, the comparison, greatly exaggerating the concept, aims to show that success is not necessarily synonymous with "crap"... otherwise, if Bruce is terrible, then for sure the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Creedence Clearwater, The Animals, and many others who have more or less created and continue making the Boss's music, namely "R&B", Country, R&R, Folk, must also suck...

In short, saying that "Springsteen is worse than Masini" means having a complete lack of objectivity and impartiality in the face of the evidence... it's like saying that Rosy Bindi is more beautiful than Bar Rafaeli...

"If Bruce sucks, then by extension the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Creedence Clearwater, Animals, and many others who more or less have made and continue to make the boss's music, meaning 'R&B', Country, R&R, Folk... must also suck. I'm sorry j&r, I don't think Springsteen was successful, SO it's crap; in my opinion, he was successful EVEN IF it's crap. It's a matter of taste. PS: all the other names you mentioned have nothing to do with it; if someone thinks the four cheese pizza sucks, it doesn't mean they can't love marinara pizza. Bye!"

...tastes are tastes... but one should not make the mistake of confusing the subjectivity of one's personal judgments regarding the value of works of art in general with ignorance, which inevitably leads to conflating and mixing an artist like Springsteen with pseudo-artists like Marco Biondi or Marco Masini... there is an objective, artistic gap between these latter ones and the American singer-songwriter that goes beyond the subjectivity of one's tastes...

...I might prefer Berlioz's music to Wagner's (this is the subjectivity of personal taste and inclination)... however, it is not possible for me to prefer Morricone over Wagner since, in that case, I would be completely ignorant of Wagner's music and, furthermore, given that there is a clear and objective artistic gap between Wagner and Morricone...

..if there weren't an intrinsic value inherent in every work of art, which allows us to understand that the piece I am analyzing is objectively superior to another, then I too could consider myself a better painter than Caravaggio or Giotto...but in reality, it's not so! ...and if it weren't so, it would not explain why throughout human history some works of art are considered objectively superior to others...look at Beethoven's Nine Symphonies, Wagner's Tetralogy, Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel, Dante's Divine Comedy, Dostoevsky's Crime and Punishment, Herman Melville's Moby Dick, Bosch's The Garden of Earthly Delights, Joyce's Ulysses, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, etc.

..so Thunder Road is better than all the songs of the other artists in this ranking.. I didn't decide it, just to be clear.. it is what it is..

Springsteen objectively sucks, just like J&R's attempt to sneak in other artists not mentioned by the author of the ranking.
