I've listened to some Black Breath and they don't seem bad, the others all "recovered" and waiting to be listened to, except for Gorillaz who I can't stand much, even though I appreciate Blur. Ciauz

Thank you, Geb. The High On Fire that I reviewed don't seem to have sparked the same enthusiasm in others as they did in me, but the more I listen, the more I like them. The Black Breath are a sonic bomb. Let me know what you think of the other listens. Bye.

But did the latest Melvins album only appeal to me?

No Darkeve. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. It's better than "nude with boots," for example, and it could indeed find a place on a list of the best things this year. The only thing is that after centuries of a brilliant career, they've said everything there was to say, and compared to their previous work, this latest one doesn’t add anything.

The return of the Swans has truly been a grand comeback: that bastard Gira doesn't miss a beat.
