I am writing this today, June 2, 2025, at 9:45 AM, these Civics are little known but will break through.

With a palindromic name, they can break through from every direction.

In order of release, I suppose....
I can vouch for the three oldest ones (I even bought them). I've listened to Lael a bit, but I'm considering it. The first two, apart from your listens, I don't have.

Exactly, a "ranking" ordered only by release date, from the most to the least recent. I like Lael Neale, there are at least three songs that I find beautiful, but the final judgment belongs to the Venerated Master Almotasim; maybe this Ty Segall could pleasantly surprise you.

While waiting for @[Almotasim], there is an article about her by Giancarlo Turra in the latest issue of BU.

I'm late, I haven't listened to it all yet. The very beginning is weak, then it gets much, much better. The last three or four tracks are still to be listened to. That's what I can say for now. I was looking for something new in her, at first it's missing, but then it's there. DaniP is right, there are beautiful songs in sequence... she's like a flower among nettles, this girl from a rural American family...

Speaking of Turra, Almo, look how beautiful this retrospective of his on Yo La Tengo is Yo La Tengo: a band of friends | Humans vs Robots

      Uh, thanks for the thought.

Except for two tracks I already knew, all the others ended up on yet another one of my playlists. Gracias! Really cool... I think I'll start making one myself too.

Maybe, the albums ranked by others have helped me discover quite a few interesting things.

    I love The Cords

I’m still caught up in the Prize’s album and I’ve only just started listening to the Cords’ one, but it already sounds really good to me—infectious enthusiasm and freshness in abundance.

I got distracted for a moment and look at how much unknown stuff came up.

In August and September, really excellent stuff.

There are also two little boy groups, alleluia, so I can finally feel a bit, Geese and Squid, I’ve read great things about them, who knows.

There is nothing you haven't suggested, as things stand. The Grateful Cat are open...

      Grateful Cat are cool.
I was curious about Geese too; they're in almost every end-of-year list, but I still haven't listened to them. Just like, a bit intimidated by its length, I haven't listened to Jeff Tweedy's latest yet either. What about you?
    • DaniP
      19 dec 25
Tweedy is too long, maybe later on, like in 2027. I still have 4 or 5 questions about things that came out this year.

Tweedy? Not yet. I’d like Tweedy’s old new jacket...

Then make the names public, Dani...

I still have to catch up with poor Stella Donnelly, after Ruth Lyon stole her spot, and then listen a bit to Lambrini Girls and Anna B Savage.
    • Annette
      20 dec 25
Stella listened to and enjoyed, Lambrini listened to when they came out, I liked them but not enough to follow up on it, I only remember Big Dick Energy.
Anna, also because she’s almost my namesake, listened to, liked, bought (like her previous two).
I'm still missing Josie and Ruth Lyon.
