  Well, if we really wanted to be picky, the first absentees that come to mind could be the NIN from The Downward Spiral, which is imo one of the badass albums of the '90s (and quite influential), but in the end we're not here to be professors, and besides, it’s already a nice list with interesting artists (just look at the great Slint on the podium or the Pavement).
  Anyway, just my two cents, I was passing through XD

  With all due respect, but with the names you mentioned, in my opinion, the ranking of the top five could very well remain unchanged. Of course, I would have structured it in a more personal way, but with the names that have been brought up, for me, it could just as well stay as it is.

  hahah this ranking was a test to understand how things worked when they put it in and to elevate the artists I like in the overall list who I thought were too low! Moreover, I've always said I can't do it… for me it’s really a struggle >_< ! I'm leaving it behind while trying to find a valid criterion to establish it in the future! :P And anyway, I want to emphasize that I would definitely put those names back and I think they wouldn’t change too much. Also, I consider it personal, because otherwise I would have included the groups mentioned by others, while these are really artists I love regardless of historical-chronological factors.
