THE REVIEW

Let's talk about a singer who, in my opinion, has somewhat lost his way in recent years, but who in the past has given us many interesting tracks, some of which are contained in this album. "Sono solo canzonette" is an album that doesn't have much to say in truth, because some albums speak for themselves and are pieces of music history. However, it is right to make a note about the tracks present.

Let's start immediately with the most representative track, "sono solo canzonette," a carefree, cheerful, and fun tune in pure Bennato style, then gradually move on to other tracks inspired by the world of fairy tales, as is his custom, which always provide that unique emotion when listening to them and perhaps take us in our minds to imagine playful and fantastic settings as the tracks themselves intended to represent.

The review reflects on Edoardo Bennato's album 'Sono Solo Canzonette,' noting that while the album doesn't break new ground, it contains some classic, playful tracks characteristic of Bennato. The title track stands out for its carefree and fun style, and other songs evoke fairy tale-like emotions and imaginative settings. Overall, the album offers enjoyable moments but lacks significant impact compared to Bennato's best works.

"Sono solo canzonette" is a sincere and true Bennato, an extravagant performer who tells music critics to be content with the simple singer’s job.

‘They are just little songs, what did you expect...!’

 Edoardo Bennato is a genius.......

The X factor isn’t about appearing in prime time on national TV mimicking some famous singer.......
