Let's start by saying that the work in question is a master-demo CD, containing 3 original tracks by this Tuscan metal band. Listening to it, one immediately gets a sense of the artistic path being followed by the musicians, who offer here an original reinterpretation of metal with new openings and truly interesting alternative solutions. It starts right away with the first track, "Nubi di passaggio", a melodic gem full of emotion, which explodes in the chorus with an epic and captivating vocal, followed by a harmonious guitar phrasing that immediately takes over the mind, before ending decisively and with unexpected violence. The second piece, "Ghiaccio psichico", is a world apart, which after a dark theatrical opening transforms into a violent post-Thrash, filled with dynamic rhythms, before making way for a lyrical and impactful chorus, giving the piece a strong dark component. The conclusion is entrusted to "Tentazione", perhaps the most alternative and interesting track of the entire work, where unexpected breaks, changes in atmosphere, lightning solos, and unpredictable openings alternate, which clearly echo certain atmospheres of the dear old Progressive, which the Tuscan band undoubtedly kept in mind during the writing phase. The lyrics, written in Italian, of these tracks should also be noted, always poetic and direct, real and intimate, perfectly inserted and in harmony with the musical arrangements, with which they form a very interesting artistic identity, well distinguished from the many groups today that adapt to foreign trends, offering sterile and stale material. Therefore, the music of these Discordia should be evaluated and explored further, as they courageously propose a personal and already well-defined message, which gives much hope and anticipation for further convincing future works like this one.

This is an experimental yet accessible proposal, with powerful choruses, melodic grit, straightforward arrangements, and lyrics in Italian (a commendable show of bravery).

‘Tentazione’ effortlessly evokes the past and modernity, evolving into astonishing Progressive sections in the middle, undoubtedly rich in excellent musicality.

One of the most difficult promos to categorize in the entire underground history.

An updated and driving rock, which starts melodic, almost delicate, surely elegant, then bursts into a heavy priest-like earthquake.
