Beyond his undeniable charm, I have to admit that when he plays the fool ("Snatch," "Get Carter," "The Twelve Monkeys," "Burn After Reading") he makes me piss myself with laughter. more
An unbearable, arrogant, and grumpy guitarist who founded "Gilmour&friends" from the ashes of Pink Floyd. Musically, there’s nothing to say, the same solo with the lever turned up for 1 century. more
An excellent band that died in 1980 for good, then the "Gilmour and friends" project started (they kept the name Pink Floyd but that's what it was), still active today...
Their audience? Elderly people, wannabes, and whores. more
After Green completely lost his compass, a rather annoying pop mixed with childish, silly, and inappropriate choruses. Definitely useless, very annoying, trashy, and trivial. Music for feminists suffering from bad breath... more

the one is not to him but to all those who bought his "books". PORCAMADONNA ITALIANS OF SHIT! more
Toto: great musicians, excellent pop professionals, a respectable band, but personally they have never impressed me much, although they remain a very pleasant listen. This fourth album is a 3-4, a solid 3, some nice pop tracks, obviously well performed, and then there's here Peter Griffin Bless the Rains Down In Africa

I've always found him likable, even when borrowed for the commercial stuff. more
After 5 mind-blowing albums, the Jethro period begins to slow down; this is Anderson's most ambitious work both in lyrics and in music. While the lyrics are excellent, the album doesn't hold up at all compared to the previous "prog opera" of the Tull, losing all its freshness and, despite having its great moments, comes across as too heavy, boring, and meandering overall. A significant decline compared to the marvelous albums that came before. P.S.: Anderson here dabbles with the sax... more
MD has meanwhile been a pipparuolo, a whoremonger, an erotomaniac, an alcoholic drug addict, but also a demolisher of jazz canons for a lysergic exploration towards extreme shores... more
It makes no sense to compare him to Mozart or Beethoven; it's a completely different conception of music. The only comparisons that would hold (though they've never been made by anyone, by the way) would be with more modern composers or those who have ventured into his field, such as Prokofiev with Alexander Nevsky. more
An enormous solo discography, Roxy Music, the Berlin trilogy with Bowie, the production of Talking Heads, Devo, David Byrne, should be enough to give him a 10 out of 5, then well, there are Coldplay... but let's just pretend they don't exist. more
This man carried the devil within him: John was the devil. A very brief career in Music, before hell claimed him; visceral blues, black as pitch...DEVIL IN MY CLOSET... more
A genius. The Frank Zappa of pop. Purple Rain is one of the most beautiful pop-rock ballads of all time. I see that it's somewhat underrated here, let's raise the bar a bit. more
