On stage, I make love to twenty-five thousand people, then I go home alone.

Oblivians
Nothing more than healthy, putrid, and dilapidated garage-blues-rn'r dripping with alcohol, shit, and liters of sweat. All it takes is putting on ‘gems’ like "Popular Favorites" or the stunning collection of early 7", scraps, and various other tidbits from the "Sympathy Sessions" to remind me what truly excites me about Rockn'Roll... more
The Jam -In the City
Already at their debut, the group's great potential and Weller's class are evident. more
Helmet -Aftertaste
Listened to the album again this afternoon after years, thanks to yesterday's concert; and I must candidly admit that I've changed my mind, adding a good star to an album that doesn't reach the lethal ultra-noise impact of its proud predecessors, but holds its own quite well. Songs like "Birth Defect" and "It's Easy to Get Bored" contain all those noisy, violent characteristics and wouldn't be out of place in a work like "Betty." Their last album from the nineties. more
Mayhem
The True MayheM were the kings of black metal, following Darkthrone and Emperor. The post-reunion works are often misunderstood, but masterpieces like Ordo ad Chao, Chimera, Grand Declaration of War, and the newborn Esoteric Warfare speak for themselves. 5 for the period 1984-1994. 4 for the period 1995-today. more
Michael Jackson -Off The Wall
I’m not a huge fan of Michael Jackson, but he did create something good as evidenced by this album: an engaging mix of funk, disco music, and pop. more
Rush
Soul-less technique, Neil Peart may be the most technical drummer in the world, but I don't recall a single part of his that moved me. more
Alter Bridge
Since 2000, few groups like them have emerged; they are undoubtedly the best. Myles Kennedy is the greatest vocalist of all time, there is no doubt about it. more

It's Immaterial -Life's hard and then you die
Heard again after some time (Christ! Almost thirty years!), it shows its belonging to its era, but it remains enjoyable, with very well-crafted arrangements and some ideas that endure for their originality, such as a casual use of the harmonica and the beautiful singing/talking voice. more
