Sorry Neil, but every now and then I need to listen to this record.. No offense, okay! more
What the hell! more
Manky cat, manky cat, who chased you away?
Manky cat, pretty big cat, it’s not your fault…
Manky cat, pretty big cat, you smell like a goat.
Pretty big cat, pretty big cat, it’s not your fault…
I’d give you a nice bath
if you didn’t run away like a spider.
Manky cat, too manky, what do you have on your face?
Manky cat, too manky, you’re not furry anymore.
Manky cat, pretty big cat, it’s not your fault… more

I just finished my first listen a few seconds ago, and I'm overwhelmed by such beauty; struck, pierced, by an album that has the gift of giving me those shivers I have always hoped to find again on my journey. The voice is the central element of a work that rightly stands out as one of the gems of a year that has been scarce for me in terms of emotions, and not just regarding Music; I close my eyes and his aged face reappears: he smiles at me, finally... more
Not the most sincere Reed musically but certainly his rebirth, Perfect Day really is the perfect song. more
They had the tremendous merit of bringing MaDchester back to the forefront of the music scene at the end of the eighties, remembering the lesson from a few years earlier from their fellow townsmen The Smiths. The first self-titled album is enough to consecrate them for eternity... I AM THE RESURRECTION... more
Funny guy.....great performer.....a bit too much of a self-celebrating guru........anyway...a Positive character... more
A nighttime car ride from many years ago with four friends perfectly revved up. The track of this record blasting on a powerful sound system. At one point, one of the two sitting in the back starts bleeding from an ear... fortunately, it wasn't me. more
The oldness. more
Great unfinished talent. Notable are "Tim Hardin 2" and "Tim Hardin 3 Live in Concert," enveloped in a subtly jazzy folk that will inspire a certain Tim Buckley. A sorrowful decline will follow them. more
Another excellent thrash/heavy episode from Testament. Chuck Billy is extraordinary as always. Testament blend the typical aggressiveness of thrash with the melody of British heavy metal. The result is an intriguing and captivating album, perhaps not fully appreciated by many of their fans. For me, it's slightly below the previous two (especially "The Legacy"), but still another hit, and a consecutive one at that. The title track is beautiful. (7.5) more
Let’s dust off some mold. Sweet progressive-pop from the Canterbury school. I was listening to it again today. Even though it’s not among my favorites... great album! more
Dare... venture forth... and may your souls return from the grim paths of Hades... more
A tremendous album of folk oriental-psychadelic music, a milestone for the Italian scene due to its uniqueness. The super cool dadaist title suite (very close to "Aria" by Sorrenti, from which it explicitly draws) features a very tight final solo, "Giusto Amore," a beautiful tribal and mystical dance, "Tutto Quello che Ho da Dire," and "La Realtà non Esiste," two poems for voice and piano. more
A weary bandit, convinced he no longer belongs to a present that wears him down. But no matter how excluded he feels from today’s life, his past has destined him for the eternal Olympus of Italian singer-songwriter tradition. more
The sharpest and most reasoned of the band. Epicness and extremism shape this Nordic and dark milestone. more
