Ivano Fossati -La pianta del tè
Rich in delightful nuances. more
Phish -Hoist
Space for creativity and improvisation. more
Passport -Looking Thru
Fascinating jazz fusion. more
R.E.M. -Green
First album of the band for a major label, Warner Bros., released in the music market in November 1988; the sixth record of the quartet in five years. It falls to the sinuous "Pop Song 89," something about the title suggests a light vibe, kicking off another perfect album. The unplugged acoustic of "You Are The Everything" then gives way to the Rock assaults of "Orange Crush" and "I Remember California," not forgetting the dark "Turn You Inside Out," which reminds me of the Cult...IT'S OK... more
Melvins
So much, immense respect from me for King Buzzo and his Melvins; thirty years after their debut, they still represent the uniqueness of a sound, at the margins of the "Music Business." Deforming, hallucinatory, overflowing in their endless production...PROCREATORS... more
R.E.M.
Good up to "monster" after a mix of banal pop songs (just as Stipe and Battiato loved to bring back some unbearable nursery rhymes, if you know what I mean) Quite uninfluential within the history of pop (it is pop we are talking about, monster is the only album that is more "extreme") more
Brian Jones
With him, the Stones were at their best. Without him, total nothingness. more
Depeche Mode
Music that the wannabes usually listen to more
RIBALDO
I don't want to seem too arrogant... a 4, come on... today I'm being nice. more
Phil Collins
The greatest drummer in history after Chad Smith and Keith Moon, monumental.
Beautiful and deep voice, an excellent pop composer, and with Genesis he produced great albums. more
Placebo
Holy Madonna...the worst drag possible. Perhaps the most boring and pointless band in the entire history after Coldplay and Foo Fighters. more
Enya
A torture. Unbearable and extremely annoying. more
Limp Bizkit
a failed prank more
Static-X -Wisconsin Death Trip
The clean vocals clearly imitate Rob Zombie, the growl seems directly sampled from the first album of System of a Down and the first one of Soulfly, the keyboards are blatantly taken from Fear Factory, and the singer is more over-the-top than the Limp Bizkit guitarist without even wearing makeup. The brooding bass of Korn is missing, likely due to obvious technical limitations. The cover is too '90s for anyone, and they even manage to imitate Slipknot from three years later by putting a boring state background. more
The Doors
Bigger than they seem. Beautiful and very unique songs. A brand. And then Jim Morrison. Overrated, what a load of crap! more
Placebo
A good band trying to win over those who appreciate a rock (which over time has become more pop) alternative. Worth listening to... if you don't turn up your nose at electronic elements, otherwise just enjoy the first two albums. more
The Doors
The Doors are amazing. Strange Days and Morrison Hotel are just decent. Waiting for the Sun, the Soft Parade, and L.A. Woman are unlistenable except for the following tracks: Hello I Love You, The Unknown Soldier, Spanish Caravan, Riders on The Storm. Anyway, this is enough for 5 stars. more
Biagio Antonacci
how disgusting oh my god more
