I like this more than "Rid Of Me". Rough and bare dirt noise-blues. And her... well. She's always been one of my favorite vocalists... more
I liked it a lot, especially at the beginning. more
I begin my DeCollection with one of the albums of my life, the result of a miraculous fusion between two almost antithetical bands. The masterpiece of Rock in Opposition! more
Authentic armed ax, with the "twin" Kerry King, in creating that guitar sound played at a blinding speed in Slayer. With his death, an era comes to an end, a story in deadly Music...SOUTH OF HEAVEN... more
The early nineties began for Slayer; the fifth album chronologically opens with one of the most violent, ferocious tracks that best represents their immense musical approach: "War Ensemble" is its title. It’s the killer guitar duo of Hanneman/King that sets the frenzied rhythms, accompanied by Lombardo’s habitually hyper-fast drumming supporting Araya's raw vocals; live, one of their colossal showstoppers. And we’re just at the first song...SPIRIT IN BLACK... more
A piece of history in singer-songwriter music, an album that cements King’s success, already a co-author with her husband of many of the most beautiful and important songs of the '60s. A showcase of great classics, a sort of greatest hits where she demonstrates all her talent, an outstanding album. more
Much has been said and written about this album, poetry, melancholy, and art in its purest form, among the best works of the '70s, filled with excellent artists who enriched its content. Legend. more
I only knew the band by name and had heard a few songs on the radio, like the famous "Kayleigh." I listened to the entire album yesterday and I have to say it’s excellent; Fish shows great skill in writing poetic and visionary lyrics, his voice is very reminiscent of Gabriel’s, and the band, although deviating quite a bit from the classic progressive sound of previous years, does an outstanding job. A lovely listen. more

It is my firm intention to eradicate the widespread bad habit where those who have only the first album and none of the other Velvet Underground records can feel at peace with their conscience.
It is my goal to educate on the advantages and pleasures of owning the second work, "White Light/White Heat." more

The musician who, in my opinion, best represents Jazz. more
"Music is a revelation deeper than any wisdom and philosophy... those who grasp the meaning of my music will be able to free themselves from the miseries that other men drag themselves through." more
Someone might argue that all their post-Ever albums sound somewhat the same, but where do you find a similar transport, an emotionality that erases all that technique for the sake of technique typical of other names with much more flattering stories? The Other Side Of Wierd? The Title Track? Just chills...real chills. more

I wanted to treat myself to this as a Christmas gift after an undeniably pleasant first listen in mp3. The downside of the album is its excessive length, with 20 tracks that do become a bit tedious over time; however, there are definitely many beautiful songs, Tweedy proves once again that he can't disappoint, and his son shows up as a capable drummer (somewhat like Casey Waits with dad Tom). Rounded up to 3.5 without any issues, nice little record, waiting for the Wilco... more
I would love to have brothers like that... more

Seven years separate "A Natural Disaster" from the new album by the Cavanagh brothers; such a long time I have had to wait to once again be captivated, enchanted, and overwhelmed by their sound. A dazzling cover of radiant beauty; immediately after comes the Music, which sees the involvement of Steven Wilson in its production. An album that should be listened to with closed eyes to extract all the positivity, all the brightness that can already be felt from Vincent's more intimate singing...THIN AIR... more
