"God is good" and merciful, I add; because He has allowed us to enjoy listening to the OM and this record. Only four tracks, with the endless opening entrusted to "Thebes": the beginning of a journey, a spiritual ascent, meditative, with closed eyes that liberates you from all negativity, leading you finally, exhausted but with a celestial inner peace, to the second chapter "Meditation is the Practice of Death": the doors of a Tibetan monastery swing wide open... more
I only knew the first two excellent works of the Scottish duo Heron-Williamson, but in this one they truly surpass themselves and I now consider it their "perfect work." An atypical, fairy-tale folk, where traditional instruments blend beautifully with the sitar and Eastern melodies. "A Very Cellular Song" is the standout track, 13 minutes of pure magic, but it's an album to listen to from start to finish with great attention... more
Debut of 1968 for the Canterbury band, a pleasant album, certainly a bit raw and simple compared to the subsequent masterpieces of a few years later. Notable tracks include "Love Song With Flute" and the finale "Where But For Caravan Would I Be," a lengthy piece that foreshadows the style later pursued with greater success in the following works. A delightful listen... more
Like many other great artists of those years, Zappa also pays tribute to the famous Fillmore East, which will soon close its doors, with one of his characteristic, eccentric, and genius performances. His guitar work is outstanding, featuring excellent musicians and the participation of Don Preston, superb on the mini-moog in "Lonesome Electric Turkey." A great listen. more
The debut album "Focus" from 1993 is one of the greatest masterpieces of Technical Death Metal; with a subsequent metamorphosis into Progressive-Fusion that is unexpected yet equally captivating... UROBORIC FORMS... more
Inside there are hints of Pixies, Dinosaur Jr., and even a little bit of Joy Division. A good debut and an excellent second album, in my opinion, a great pop reality, not mediocre hitmakers from the charts. more
Lovely person, gorgeous voice, and a whole series of tracks (and records) that showcase enviable writing and interpretation skills. She's also an excellent pianist. What more could you want? more

Currently, this is everything I could have imagined from electronic music. Minimal techno, which, despite its name, comes across as sophisticated and original without the excesses that other genres flaunt and that often overwhelm me. This album is incredibly different from the other masterpiece; Schöne Neue Extrawelt, reviewed by the unparalleled Untilted. Anyway, as you know, I don't know a damn thing about electronic music! more
One of the most well-known and successful albums by Bob Dylan; and if my memory serves me right, the first album of his that I listened to in the eighties. A work that opens, masterfully as only the minstrel knows how, with the long and famous "Hurricane," a song further enhanced by the violin of Scarlet Rivera. But all the remaining eight tracks shine in an album that will long remain "the last great album by Bob," at least until "Infidels"... SARA... more
From my neighboring Switzerland comes the group; creators of innovative, technical, futuristic Thrash. A series of impressive albums in terms of composition with few equals in their genre... MENTAL VORTEX... more
