A classic from his discography. Medieval cabaret, worthy of the best court jesters. "La Genesi" and "Talkin' sul Sesso" above all. 8. more
The kings of rock. I’ll be shockingly cliché, but I can’t think of anything else. more
Genius and mischief. They are among the giants. The vote is superfluous, their value is priceless. more
HORRIFYING!!!!! more
Uncle Roberto attempted a return to the darkest shores of his better years, but the result was personally akin to an opulent shot to the balls. more
The last great album from what was once a great band. The curtain falls... more
Funny and beautiful the first one, outstanding the last... In between, two honest albums. The judgment is more than positive. more
They manage to strum the strings of my soul like few other bands. Albums, tracks, unforgettable guitars, and that positive melancholy filled with life that stirs the stomach and heart: among the peaks of the '90s and one of my all-time favorite bands. more
Okay, artistically it might not be top-notch and perhaps not all of his songs are entirely his own work, but in the realm of pop, he is certainly a mega star: few, very few have reached his level of fame, influence, and power. more
Since that tall guy left, I've been wanting to listen to them again, I don't know why (or yes, I do know...) more
It is with this record, released in 1986, that Depeche Mode change their musical direction; the songs stretch out in length, and the atmospheres and narratives begin to expand. The boys from Basildon, grim English suburb, have grown up, and they prove it in the title track, wisely placed to open an album that deserves the highest praise. The pinnacle is reached with "A Question Of Time," which remains a constant presence in live performances even after all these years...STRIPPED... more
I would suggest changing the title of her latest single "Puttana, sono Madonna" to "Madonna, se sono puttana"... more
Undoubtedly masters, but to truly enjoy them one must be a real prog-maniac. more
I confirm: it's the Rush gone wrong! Listened to it (with great difficulty) in full online. Incredibly boring. more
The festival of futility continues at the Petrucci household. The intro of Child in Time makes one shit. more
Another test of courage for the Lombard epic metallers. The opener is a musical battlefield, the title track is a whispered and tempestuous mid-tempo, "Soldier of Fortune" is both tragic and evocative. These are the legendary Doomsword! Active for nearly two decades, they don't miss a beat! The greatest band of modern true epic metal. And they're Italian... more
Folk dilaniano that blends seamlessly with long, expansive, highly inspired jazz compositions. At least 4 absolute masterpieces: the title track, "Le Domande Consuete," "Le Ragazze della Notte," and "Ballando con una sconosciuta" (still Lolli here, just like in "Keaton" from the previous album). There's also space for the triumphant "AEmilia," co-written with Dalla. As far as I'm concerned, the maximum goes to the same. 9. more
Today I did some calculations and realized that if they complete the announced seasons 27 and 28, it will end up that almost 2/3 of the Simpsons production will be putrid crap. I don't feel like giving more than a 1 to this necrophile, who insists therapeutically on a series that between '89 and '97 was the peak of television history. more
Golden masterpiece, ethereal, fragrant with alcoholic jazz. In this album, everything is perfect: lyrics, music, cover, arrangements. 9. more
Question: if it's true - as the legend goes - that you had hundreds of songs in the drawer, why stretch out pieces like 'As', 'Another Star', 'Joy Inside My Tears', etc., and not add 4 or 5 more tracks? Even if it's just 5: a few songs are enough to get there, the inspiration is so high but... personally, an "Innervisions" is on a higher ground. more
