The Trans Am take their game of deconstruction and reconstruction of the pop/rock toy to the extreme. more
Imaginative pop/rock compositions with a sparse yet tight arrangement. The electric guitar goes glin-glin instead of the roaaarrrrr of the later records, but that’s not necessarily a flaw. more
It may be my limitation, but I just can't bring myself to like them; I don't doubt their importance and originality in progressive rock, but after a few listens, I simply can't stand them, even though they are brilliant musicians, of course, a bit like Perigeo. In the progressive scene, I definitely prefer other bands. more
The lyricism of Battisti meets the sounds of Kraftwerk. more
stunning! more
Bennato's last great album (though the two that followed are also quite pleasant). One of his best, it's a mature record with sharp lyrics and music, blending Pinocchio, metaphors, biting irony, rock'n'roll, and bitter ballads. For example, "Mangiafuoco" (the best track on the album), "Quando sarai grande," "Il Grillo Parlante," and the wild rock'n'roll of "In prigione in prigione" stand out dramatically. Probably a high point in his career. After "I buoni e i cattivi" and "La Torre di Babele," this is the Bennato album I consider the most successful. more
Album from '77, but sounds like it's from another era. Great Waters and a great band accompanying him. more
The album would almost deserve a 5, but the highest rating goes to the previous trio. A band that is still underrated; they have nothing less than the idolized sacred monsters of the time. more
monumental, disciplines unachievable album. more
Love forever more
Imagine a lush forest where there are sounds instead of plants and animals. Electronics meet fantasy and imagination. more
If you find electronics a bit cold and Germans lacking in imagination, think again. more
Wenders' most ambitious project, a troubled production, a film of great charm. more
So well written, directed, acted, photographed, edited, and sound designed that, despite its global success, it remains, in my opinion, one of Spielberg's most underrated works. more
multicultural group with Spanish leadership. Afro-soul in the style of Santana more
Australian Bluesman with style and personality more
Every time I choose a De André album, by the end of the listening I always think it’s the best of all. An investigation into the lesser society, that of the losers and their hopes. The jones player, the only "positive" character, closes the album and conveys the meaning of so much poetry. One might then ask about the album....."you who sell it, what do you buy that is better?" more
Aside from my personal admiration for this group, this album has everything and everything feels new as if pieced together. A masterpiece. more
Masterpiece. Since the release of this album, Italian music will never be the same. more
The EP that gives meaning to the existence of the Ride. From the magnificent arrogance of "Leave Them All Behind," through the refined undulations of "Chrome Waves," to the masterpiece of psychedelic rock, "Grasshopper." more
