"Tenor-like version of Sting... Italian Peter Gabriel" for the US. Plagiario for Italy. He has ranged from sublime soul-jazz ("Dune Mosse") to intimate songs ("Diamante", "Un Piccolo Aiuto"), explored the wave-electro paths of Ermetico Battisti ("Eccetera Eccetera"), and UK pop ("Occhi", "Pure Love"), combined Christmas white and rai ("Così Celeste") blues and lyricism ("Miserere"), M.Davis E.Morricone C.Rustici J.Lee-Hooker F.De Gregori I.Fossati C.Mami Bonovox Elisa... a bit "edited". more
Joyful periods that alternate cyclically with dark times. For better or for worse, a group that resembles me. more
Refined technique and almost limitless melodic inventiveness. The ideal launchpad to take flight towards the planet of classical music. more
Music and Magic finally together. more
Wonderful musicians, truly remarkable. It's a shame they didn't have the aura they deserved. Excellent. more
There’s nothing more to say about Paul. She was a tremendous woman despite a sometimes prominent temper. After her, Paul lost his mind for the worse and the repercussions were evident (Driving rain, Heater Mills, billion-dollar divorce...) There’s only one Linda, Paul. That’s it. more
He started almost from nothing. He reached the top also thanks to excellent collaborations. He dove headfirst into the abyss due to plagiarism and a lack of new ideas. What a shame. more
Simply brilliant. more
Apollo McCartney. more
If it weren't for the unfortunate fact that it's unclear who the hell writes their songs, my rating would be a solid three and a positive one. In Italy, they definitely sang (at least the beautiful voice is theirs) some great stuff, in defiance of the national Ligabue and Vaschi. more
A question mark made person. He has flown very high ("Blue's," "Oro Incenso & Birra") but also very low ("Zu & Co." and songs like "Un Kilo" or "Donkey Tonkey"). However, when he wants to, he knows how to create beautiful things. more
soporific, mannered, monotonous monotones, guilty of being in the right genre at the right time and generators of countless epigones, raucous and perhaps too much live, and Scottish, which gives interviews that horrible accent and those vocalic sounds of questionable taste.
but when they are liked, they are truly liked; an electric explosion for a stab to the heart. more
One of the few (very few) bands that can still play grindcore and make sense today. Excellent. more
.... a piece of rock history more
McCartney with her has settled down, Linda was not an easy person but they understood each other and loved each other for a lifetime, which is very rare in rock. more
A genius of music, a great composer who, to give his best, has always needed a guide to contain his overflowing ideas. more
overrated, like all myths.. more
but no way, damn it. I like rock and I never went through the Guns phase, although I'm curious about it now... I only brushed past them back in the day (92-95) and I was listening to John Lennon. I don't know. more
romantic and noisy, but also accessible more
emotional, cultured, and violent... hardcore in its most dandy yet also most decadent form... more
