I reevaluate. Rock 'n' roll in its form. The icon that represents (has represented) was seminal, but musically the merits aren’t entirely hers, at least not entirely. She shifted all the attention onto herself, and for this reason I consider her somewhat overrated; however, if it hadn’t happened, I don’t know if what was already occurring would have had the chance to manifest in the same way. more
