Definitely better in the early days with fast, short, and straightforward songs. They are tied to my adolescence, but an album like "Dookie" remains incredibly enjoyable even today, packed with great melodies. And "Kerplunk!" and "Insomniac" (though inferior to the first two) are still among the memorable ones. I won’t comment on the present, but I saved American Idiot at the time. more
