Elton John
High-level pop-rock until the mid-'70s, after a slow decline likely coinciding with dependencies. In the '80s, there were some good singles, but the albums were lacking (the single+filler formula never truly did justice to his real talent). He made a comeback both physically and musically with the new millennium. more
Amalia Grè -Amalia Grè
elegance and refinement! more
Renato Zero
I was re-listening these days to some of his albums from the golden period, skilled and uniquely original in '70s Italy. From the mid-'80s onwards, he also suffered from Luciodallite, but it doesn't really matter. more
Gianni Morandi -Grazie a tutti
comprehensive and exhaustive more
Gentle Giant -Civilian
a less traumatic swan song for them and their fans. Overall, a decent album and that’s the end of the story! more

A Belgian and Egyptian poet, with haunting atmospheres and endless melancholies. more
Skiantos
What memories... Freak, a great person... a unique band, one of my first concerts as a teenager at a Festa dell’Unità... I can picture them coming out dressed as Mexicans and starting an absurd chant... they were pelted with everything (I later understood that was how it was) they took off their rags and began Eptadone. It was love at first sight... and crossing paths with Freak so long after felt like a sign of destiny. The first three and the Lord of Records were amazing. more
Fazerdaze -Morningside
A tremendous record, one of the best indie rock albums of 2017. It made an impact. more
Luciano Ligabue
Embarrassing, I feel ashamed for him. more
Luciano Ligabue -Giro d'Italia
Better acoustic than rock and roll! more
Pino Daniele -Sotto 'o Sole
a record that I’m particularly attached to. It reminds me of Troisi, who is also the author of the beautiful "Quando," which alone is worth the entire album! more
Debaser
Certo, invia pure il testo e provvederò a tradurlo. more
Kansas -The Best of Kansas
comprehensive and exhaustive! more
Traffic
The intro of Glad alone would be enough to earn a lifetime 10, what else.. more
Stevie Winwood
I can’t understand the complete absence of definitions for good old Steve, first with the Spencer Davis Group, then Blind Faith, and above all Traffic (along with two amazing albums like Mr. Fantasy and John Barleycorn must die, true jewels), a unique voice, class, a versatile musician who expressed his best as a solo artist in "Arc of a Diver" (not to mention the well-known "pop" interlude of the 80s with Valerie and Higher Love), hats off. more
