Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
Just listen to the bootleg Pièce de Résistance (live in Passaic 1978); if you listen to that bootleg, you can't help but bow down to the most overwhelming rock 'n' roll band that has ever existed. No one has surpassed the levels of Bruce's 1978 tour with the E Street Band in live performance. more
Bruce Springsteen
Immense storyteller, exceptional rocker, unattainable live performer. Even undervalued, because the true extent of his work in the realm of American popular music goes far beyond the fame achieved with the general public. more

Gem Boy
I also thought they were pathetic (for a moment), but now I don't think that way anymore... more

Madonna
the same goes for her (more or less) as it did with Michael Jackson; they both vie for the crown of who has contributed more to ruining and trivializing music! All she had to do was act like a slut and throw together a couple of random sounds to screw everyone over and make a ton of money... we need to learn to use the word "artist" with more caution!!! more
Conception
Authors of an absolutely high-value melodic power: powerful yet never repetitive guitars, excellent bass lines, and wonderfully atmospheric keyboards with carefully chosen sounds that never become intrusive! It's a shame that so few paid attention to them and it's a shame they ended their career after only 4 albums because they truly deserved more!!! more
Anathema
They have deftly evolved from the early death doom to gothic rock and then to alternative rock, always with great sophistication! Highly recommended! more
Sepultura
A band/artist will also be judged based on the peaks they have reached, but these guys, assuming we can still talk about Sepultura, after "Chaos A.D." (and we’re talking about 1993, almost twenty years ago, just to say) haven’t hit the mark since. more

To be honest... I have never disliked them; I’ve always enjoyed their songs. They were a "band" that seriously had something to say and also had a good melodic structure! more
Deep Purple
Referring back to the last eCChecaZZo... I don't know how much mental gymnastics can lead to shortsightedness, but up here there's a nice pile of shortsighted people ;) more
Michael Schenker
Michael Schenker, fucking genius of the six strings, and he has only one definition, now two with mine! This is Italy!!!
Let’s keep giving money to Vasco, it’s better... more

Not as good as some, better than others... yeah, whatever, but Deep Purple=5. EchecaZZo. more
Shigeru Miyamoto

Deep Purple
Just the name sends shivers down the spine of heavy metal devotees. As far as I know, which will be about 60-70% by the mid-'70s, my vote is solid, even if some tracks can occasionally become wearisome. more

That "Child in Time" is magnificent, there's no doubt; that "Smoke on the Water" is a pain in the ass, neither. Are you sure they are that essential? more
Tool
THANK YOU DEBASER, for making me curious and introducing me to this wonderful band, which has produced stunning albums, beautiful songs, and amazing videos. "Sober" is one of the most beautiful songs ever! more
