The masterpiece of Martin Scorsese from the '90s and one of his absolute best films (second only to Taxi and Raging Bull). Technically, it's monstrously perfect, very realistic and well-crafted, with actors in a state of grace, Liotta superb, Pesci phenomenal, De Niro impeccable, an impressive amount of memorable scenes; in short, an absolute masterpiece. For me, probably one of the best films of the '90s and the best gangster movie ever. Wonderful. more
Scorsese's first masterpiece. The director begins to tell about himself, about Little Italy, about his life and that of all the boys from the American neighborhood; to do so, he chooses as protagonists a close friend of his, Harvey Keitel (an outstanding performance), and a nearly debuting Robert De Niro, who literally unleashes all his immense talent, delivering an indescribable performance. Both actors are from L.Italy like the director; this masterpiece, after all, also speaks about them. more
Wonderful, the most beautiful film by Tim Burton, the great Johnny Depp. A melancholic fairy tale told by the Burton of golden times brings to life the partnership with Johnny Depp (perhaps here in his best performance) and leads to a truly splendid film. Bittersweet ending, but very beautiful. more
A milestone in the history of horror, shot with a handful of dollars. Beautiful, fun, and unsettling all at once. more
I may be the only one, but I prefer this to many of the ones that followed. more
A timeless classic of horror. By now, everything there is to say about Zombies has been said, to the point where I see them more as lovable goofballs, but this film, when viewed from a certain perspective, still sends shivers down your spine. A masterpiece in its genre. 8.5 more
Second highly successful chapter of Romero's zombie saga. Dawn of the Dead, although inferior to the first chapter, is a splendid film, with more action and splatter (but not excessive), a brilliant setting (the supermarket as a critique of consumer society), a general situation that is becoming increasingly dramatic and concerning (the Zombies are slowly taking over), and increasingly likable and goofy undead :D Great film.

A quite convincing thriller, by the way I believe it's one of Schumacher's best works, who is otherwise truly mediocre. Carrey is very, very good, as always in dramatic roles, the film has several weak points, but overall I enjoyed it (despite having caught on to the twist long before it was revealed). 6.5 more
The masterpiece of the visionary Michel Gondry, and one of the most beautiful films from 2000 to today. A stunning love story told through a dreamlike journey in dreams, in memories. Jim Carrey is superb, perhaps his best performance, Kate Winslet equally exceptional. Wonderful. more
Unsettling, dark, claustrophobic, trapped on a spaceship facing an unknown and highly lethal and cunning enemy (Alien, the most complex and fascinating monster in the entire history of science fiction cinema), which creates a crisis because it knows where they are, but they don’t know where it is or what it is, along with the internal enemy (the android Ash and the very computer that controls the ship). Tension skyrockets, eyes wide open, a heart-pounding finale. Exceptional. more
Linear, simple film, with an overly moralistic and feel-good ending, but I appreciated it very much, probably because the situations it describes are more than plausible, and because Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep are always two wonderful guarantees of quality (Hoffman already well-established, Meryl at the beginning of her career, fresh off a role in that blockbuster "The Deer Hunter").
Very beautiful. more
A true classic, really great, but still a bit immature and slightly inferior to both the two subsequent films in the Dollar Trilogy and to C'Era una Volta il West (and obviously to Once Upon a Time in America, Leone's masterpiece). However, it doesn't lack memorable scenes, the direction is excellent, and the music is unforgettable. Very beautiful. more
I find it boring in the long run, however, great. more
Incredible, an album of this caliber, all over 60. Immortal, truly amazing, hats off to the creator. more
Reiner, drawing inspiration from one of the finest short stories by Stephen King, conjures up the film of a lifetime, a little masterpiece, an emotional portrait of the most beautiful season of life. A film about the loss of innocence, the end of childhood told through the journey of four twelve-year-olds who are on the path to growing up. Wonderful. "I have never had friends like the ones I had at 12, but, God, who has?" more
Very trashy. more
Useless remake, one of Burton's worst, better only than Alice and the Planet of the Apes. Depp is overly exaggerated, pointless film. More is expected from Burton. more
Funny, well-made, engaging, but it has never truly captivated me; in short, I think Burton has done better. Nevertheless, it's a very nice film, no doubt. more
