With "The Bends," they coined an honest and enjoyable alt-pop for mainstream rock palates, indebted to the Smiths and R.E.M. With "OK Computer," they took that product and adorned it with elaborate and grandiloquent arrangements, reaching what I believe is excellence in the single track "Paranoid Android." Here, they could have rested on their laurels by endlessly repeating the same album, but instead, they changed direction, giving birth to "Kid A" and "Amnesiac," and it is here that they distilled drops of magic. Underrated. more
Classy pop, if only we had bands like this today more
At a mediocre musical level, plus excessively overrated. A couple of tracks in the '90s, terrible in the '00s. more
Some tracks, taken individually, hit me, but I find the albums as a whole overrated and often filled with boring fillers (Amnesiac aside). Yorke sometimes ruins the tracks, he feels the need to be whiny. more
Without Steve Stevens and his role as a jack-of-all-trades, he would have stayed at home revving his Harley. Once the partnership ended, the wax idol melted together with the engine. more
A spoiled brat high on life with a punchable face, but when it comes to pop-rock, this idiot really knows his stuff. more
The greatest acid group of all time. A piece like Calvary devours all at once the entire English-German-Californian-Abruzzes e psychedelic scene, in short, they are the best. more
I'll interrupt the plebiscite! :D (of course you all know what the real vote is, but the temptation was too strong and I couldn't refrain) more
At first, they were just barely more than mediocre, but with the last EP "Salvation," they really rose above. One of those masterpieces that you don't forget. And epic doom is very easy to forget, trust me. more
The OK Computer, Kid A, and Amnesiac trilogy is great, although definitely overhyped. The only truly noteworthy work is Amnesiac, the rest is good but with some missteps. more
Masterpiece that kicked off thrash metal! more
A legendary band that has produced 3 timeless albums and 2 excellent ones. It's a shame that after these first 5 they completely fell off... nevertheless, for me, they are a great band! more
Great album! Post Rock, Shoegaze, Space Rock... in short, there’s a lot going on! Rating: 8 more
Wow, such a plebiscite has never been seen on deb :D So, my favorite southern group, even though to be honest we've already gone "beyond" southern, at least the canonical one. The live show at the Filmore was epic, but even the studio albums are definitely not to be despised, on the contrary! more
"..maybe your massage technique is different from mine, but you know... touching your wife's feet and inserting your tongue into the holiest of her holes is not the same fucking playground, it's not the same league, and it's not even the same sport." more
But is there anyone who really finds this loser Emme likable? Except for G, who I kind of like. more
But is there anyone who can really give him a 5? Except for hjhhjij, who I like. more
chewing over the new American wave and dragging it to the other side, then "redeeming" themselves by inventing Boston (and its related indie rock) with "the good earth". A band never praised enough, they should be included in every ranking, of every time. more
new age tropical, cocktail bar fascinators at the exact end of the world. more
Always better!
One track stands out: Midnight (R)Evolution!
Aftertaste of: Joy Division, Badly Drawn Boy, ...a toys orchestra more
