He also did something excellent: withdrawing from the scene. more
The greatest Italian progressive rock group (the Area were something else entirely). Very few bands can boast three albums of the caliber of "Banco del Mutuo Soccorso" (1972), "Darwin!" (1972), and "Io Sono Nato Libero" (1973), which are essential. The duo of voice and piano by Francesco Di Giacomo and Vittorio Nocenzi is immense. Thank you. more
They were definitely less trivial and a bit more varied than the numerous pseudo-punk bands of today! I'd rather choose these! more
But how the hell do you think it's worthwhile to waste time defining this crap of a group?!? Damn, I'm doing it too... How the hell did it occur to me to waste time telling you that you're wasting time defining this bullshit?!? more
Valid (especially at the beginning) but they have NEVER caught me. more
The only good one is "Kerplunk!". Nothing innovative but pleasant to listen to. The rest is raw crap. more
Top Pulp! more
Star formation of the weather report with Peter Erskine on drums. 'Live at Leeds' immediately comes to mind among my favorite live albums. more
"The Piggy Bank" is a classic: perhaps the most beautiful of the Roman group, but also the one that owes the most to a certain English progressive (in the harder passages I find a bit of VDGG, in the more dreamy ones a bit of Genesis), and the fairy-tale and medieval themes further confirm this. Three masterpieces: the anti-war anthem of "R.I.P" (with a tear-jerking finale), the jazz-prog-psychedelic drift of "Metamorfosi," and their absolute most beautiful suite, "Il Giardino del Mago." more
Supreme altars of little kids... And anyway, as a trinity group of useless middle-school clown shitters, we were perfectly fine with Green Day.. Why do majors hate us so much? more
New Dawn Fades... may God forgive us for having understood that life is a great illusion. more
In short... Enema of the State isn’t bad.. even though Dookie by Green Day is better... anyway, I’m not really into punk...(as much as one can define it punk) more
Bah. From what I've heard, with all due respect, it really gets on my nerves. more
When emo and stupid were still two very different things more
The creature of Roddy Frantz (a surname, a program) and Robert Goldstein came out with two jaw-dropping records (because even "Early Damage," no kidding, is no joke...). 4 and a half for this. more
Anton Fier is unlike any other drummer in the world. Write this sentence down, and repeat it to yourselves 100/200/300 times. In the end, you'll sing it like the Our Father. Anton Fier is unlike any other drummer in the world. more
I have only fully heard "Freak Out." It's not music for me and it doesn't even fall into the typical listens of my generation (this last phrase means everything and nothing). I also can't stand those who worship it and call it God, but honestly, I don't think it was an incompetent musician. more
but is he a man or a woman??????? more
As soon as Hybrid Theory was released, we expected a band capable of modifying and even blending various genres... from the release of the subsequent Meteora, we understood that they didn't have the talent to do so. more
a great artist...certainly overrated...but he knows his music...I mean, come on, Stan is beautiful (I know very well that the chorus is Thank You by Dido) and Lose Yourself is one of the best rap songs ever written...then there's no doubt that Recovery is unlistenable. more
