As far as I'm concerned, the best work from Overkill since "The Years Of Decay." Tracks like "My December," "Stone Cold Jesus," and "I Am Fear" remain etched in the stone of thrash. 8/10 more
he is a HERO! more
He doesn't realize that being insulted is the only way to still be considered by an Italy that, deep down, doesn't even know who the hell this Massimo Di Cataldo is anymore. If what they say were true, he'd be human trash as well as musical trash. But it would still be trash nonetheless. more
Perhaps my favorite album "Ska" (it's an understatement to call it that...) R.I.P. Bradley Nowell more
The artistic completion of Crosby, and in general a gathering of friends belonging to the History of American psychedelia. An album that feels like a conclusion, much like Blows Against The Empire by fellow artist Kantner; an album where the artist's soul reaches its peak and seems to unite with everything. Not a drop in tone, no track that could be described as anything less than extraordinary. From here on, it will be something else, the hippy dream is over. more
From this first image, it looks absolutely sexy. more
A PIECE OF SHIT, but full of friends more
An honest artist with good compositional skills. A rose in the midst of the manure of American mainstream. more
Another group by Roy Montgomery. more
Maybe I even prefer them to the Dadamah! more
Use the guitar like a brush, to paint watercolors of melancholic landscapes. An unmistakable style. more
The perfectly light and harmonious vocals of Déjà Vù by CSNY are, I don’t believe, ever matched by any other group (perhaps only in Pet Sounds by the Beach Boys). This is the true cornerstone of the album, where 4 different identities come together to create a melancholic record with folk and country nuances, while still incorporating more electric and lively passages: probably the true aspect that makes this album a landmark and a symbol of the West Coast. more
The uniqueness of a touch you can't confuse: just think of "Rusholme Ruffians," "Barbarism Begins At Home," and (among many others) that crazy ups and downs of "This Charming Man," and that final break on the high E (!)... s-t-r-a-o-r-d-i-n-a-r-i-o. more
Four brainy minds for a single great project. "Déjà Vù" (1970) the highest peak of their art and the greatest representative of the American West Coast. more
Well Oiled: one of the best albums of the 90s. more
Amen. more
With their music, they demolished buildings. The dirtiest, heaviest group of Sub Pop. more
maximum score only for "You're Living Over Me" and "BUG", the subsequent works are very disappointing more
Great artist and impeccable Curriculum Vitae. Maximum score without a second thought. more
I will never tear my ears off for them, but in the end, I like almost everything. I've never understood what’s so great about Nevermind; for me, it’s just a nice little disc and nothing more. Bleach is my favorite, it’s an amazing record; but I also think In Utero and Incesticide are good works. In short, they made a very overrated album, but I wouldn't want the fiercest detractors to end up underestimating them, that would be the height of irony. more
