Pink Floyd -Animals
In addition to The Wall and Wish You Were Here, I place this among my favorites by Pink Floyd. Sounds, atmospheres, spine-tingling solos, the nightmarish sociological-existential vision: everything in its right place. more
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Everything I hate about music, they have it. Among the many records I got from my dad, there's also a good chunk of their discography. Sold almost all of it. Pure garbage. more
Frank Zappa -Over Nite Sensation
A classic rock album by Zappa. It's easy to listen to and not too unpredictable. more
Frank Zappa -Wazoo
Live jazz fusion for a masterpiece album by Zappa that I recommend to anyone wanting to get closer to him, during the very Jazz fusion period. more
Fabio Fazio
Better than almost all the other hosts working at Rai... which should make you reflect on how low the level of the others is, since Fazio, not even that reprehensible on his own, seems excellent by comparison. more
Fabio Fazio
the Enrico Letta of television. more
Dinosaur Jr.
Great band, and they're still going strong today. more
Wire
in an act of contrition I lay down by your side. more
Malevolent Creation
No one can destroy this malevolent creation. more
Art Tatum
Upon seeing him enter a venue in Chicago, Fats Waller, after finishing his performance, announced: "Ladies and gentlemen, God is in this room! Let me present to you the one and only Art Tatum." more
Annihilator
When thrash metal becomes elegant. more
Fabio Fazio
A year with hemorrhoidal prolapse in its final stage is more likable to me as a face. more
Fabio Fazio
Have you read how much they get for doing Sanremo??????? more
Toto Cutugno
The record holder for second places at Sanremo, if I’m not mistaken... he would show up every year and always come in second, always second... a life as a runner-up, the Mauro Tassotti of music... more
Howard Jones
Aesthetically "no comment," but musically in the '80s, a synthpop icon. more
The The -Soul Mining
If there’s one album I would recommend to break down any prejudice against '80s electro-pop, it’s definitely this one. A masterpiece of eclecticism that only the mind of the genius jack-of-all-trades Matt Johnson could conceive. There’s soul (as the title suggests), there’s the beat of Joe Jackson, but above all, there’s an extraordinary songwriting. A work that has transcended trends. more
Toto -Toto
A classic, no doubt about it. It’s not my preferred genre, but when an album includes "Rosanna," "Africa," "Make Believe," and the groove (!) of Porcaro-Hungate in "Waiting For Your Love" (which is also my favorite track), it deserves the highest accolades. Lukather is exceptional, among the best guitarists of his generation. more
The Sisters Of Mercy -Floodland
A gothic that is accessible but not banal, indeed!! Mother Russia rain down! more
The Cure -Pornography
To sleep and never wake up. more
Swans -Children Of God
Don't touch my Swans more
