THE REVIEW

One ordinary day, I was returning from yet another tiring school day. Someone had lent me a CD... on the cover it said "Creed". I thought to myself, "one of those usual pop groups circulating on MTV".
Once I got home, I put it into the stereo and after 40 seconds of "spoken" words in a strange atmosphere from the singer... there it was, an explosion of blind fury, distorted by electric guitars.
With immense amazement, I had to reconsider. I was facing one of the greatest realities of new-metal.

Unlike other modern groups that make pop rock (like Linkin Park), Creed manages to combine multiple genres together, creating a melodic yet aggressive music at the same time.
Personally, I place them in a different sphere from that of new-metal.

"Weathered" is more powerful than Creed's previous albums. The voice, which has a lot of "grunge" in it, is beautiful... The bass is also great, which together with the guitar alternates very melodic and relaxing parts with parts that could incite many to "mosh".

The content of the lyrics is truly beautiful too, unlike many recent groups that spout nonsense, like satanism or violence (in this moment that the world is living, it doesn't seem appropriate!!).

Besides the track "My Sacrifice", for which there is also a video clip, I highlight: "Bullets", "Freedom Fighter", "Stand Here With Me".

If Creed had integrated some guitar solos into the current songs, the rating would be full...
Anyway... great band!!!
