HEILAAA!!!
Hello guys, today I'm here for a quick review of the new album by the CHILDREN OF BODOM!
The album in question is "Are You Dead Yet?" A great job, guys, with ultra-powerful and gritty tracks at extremely and damnably warlike rhythms!
The conflict has this chronology:
1) LIVING DEAD BEAT = a great track to start with, which stamps itself in our little head right from the first moment.
2) ARE YOU DEAD YET? = a very nice track with a particularly catchy and enthusiastic chorus.
3) IF YOU WANT PEACE ... PREPARE FOR WAR = This is not a track it's a machine gun firing on all cylinders gentlemen, my favorite track of the lot, extremely powerful, extremely fast ... in short sublime!!!
4) PUNCH ME I BLEED = cute, yes, but it doesn't convey anything particularly exceptional to me.
5) IN YOUR FACE = this one is a great track with a chorus that is simply cool and very, very badass!!!
6) NEXT LINE = in line with the other tracks like living dead beat, etc...
7) BASTARDS OF BODOM = it's really bastardly... beautiful!!!
8) TRASHED LOST & STRUNGOUT = in line with the previous one.
9) WE'RE NOT GONNA FALL = let's say it closes very well the work of the Children of Bodom!!!
YEAHHH!!!
What can I say if after 8 years you've never heard it WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WAITING FOR? ... BREAK YOUR EARS!!!!!!
ALEXANDRINO!
'Are You Dead Yet?' is a very technical album, but it doesnât resonate.
The solos lack feeling, they are uninspired.
With 'Are You Dead Yet?' the Children of Bodom take another step forward, reaching what they did not achieve with 'Hate Crew...'.
You will hardly forget the choruses of 'Are You Dead Yet?', 'Trashed, Lost & Strungout', 'We're Not Gonna Fall'.
The chorus of 'Are You Dead Yet?' stuck in my mind and every day I sing it to the point of exhaustion.
The CD is magnificent and certainly, in my opinion, the best after 'Hatebreeder'.
"Are You Dead Yet?" is a great album, with some tracks that deserve to be listened to over and over again, however, it fails to live up to the masterpiece "Hatebreeder."
The title track reaches its peak of cruelty and violence in the chorus... leaving you perplexed in a good way.
"'Are You Dead Yet?' presents itself as an experiment by the band in search of a unique and always new sound."
"At first impact, 'Are You Dead Yet?' mostly appears as a weak, dull, dry album, almost a disappointment, that does not offer much to the listener..."
