Assuming that Bugo is a madman, and by madman I don't mean a maverick genius but rather someone who should be locked in an asylum, this album could be considered his test of maturity and, in a certain sense, normality.

The album unfolds on two levels, the electro-rock of "Arriva Golia!" and the acoustic-lofi of "La Gioia di Melchiorre". In my opinion, the choice of a double album is not only spot-on but also immensely courageous for an artist who, over time, has always ended up tiring with his oddities.
In this work, however, Bugo manages not to exhaust the listener despite composing 21 tracks.

The two CDs are particularly different in their intentions: the first with a classic vein of social indifference and criticism of the times, the second more intimate and based on feelings.
The influences of "Arriva Golia!" are the most classic for Bugo: Beck above all and a touch of Trip-Hop. For "La Gioia di Melchiorre", on the other hand, you have to evoke the greats of Italian music from the 60s-70s: Guccini, De Andrè and especially Battisti.

The two albums are completely different in execution as well; for the electro-rock one, we immediately have two excellent hits "Carla è Franca" (pure rock against losing weight at all costs) and "Alleluia 1 Rep" (blithe parody of classic American Catholic songs), the other tracks are very good but do not reach the level of the first two, which is truly outstanding; the acoustic album, however, proves to have greater consistency, lacking truly exceptional songs but the work remains more than pleasant throughout its duration, perhaps the only real gem is "Che diritti ho su di te", a very beautiful and deep song that could easily be a hit by Battisti.

Bugo has definitely grown, his lyrics have improved, and this is especially noticeable in the acoustic album, where the desire to joke or criticize alternates with feelings and strong emotions.
For Bugo fans, a must-have work even if it means going to the blood bank, for others it could be a pleasant discovery. It's worth it.
As he says: 2CDs at 16.90 Euros, what class!!!
