Badlands

Voodoo Highway ez

Led by Lee's six-string, which finally allowed him to fully express his great talent as a bluesman, this is however the album of Ray Gillen, one of the most talented singers of the '80s and unfortunately also one of the most unfortunate.

A small jewel to be passed down to posterity, to show that in the early '90s there was not only grunge but also bands like Badlands who, despite lasting only for two albums, managed to create a record full of warmth and tradition while keeping a foot in the present.

Listen to Badlands' Voodoo Highway and experience a hard blues classic that showcases timeless talent and raw rock spirit.

You and Voodoo Highway

Badlands

Badlands were an American hard/blues-rock band formed in 1988 by guitarist Jake E. Lee (ex-Ozzy Osbourne) with vocalist Ray Gillen, bassist Greg Chaisson, and drummer Eric Singer; Jeff Martin later handled drums. They released Badlands (1989) and Voodoo Highway (1991), with the posthumous Dusk appearing in 1999. Their sound fused Zeppelin-styled classic rock with blues grit and metallic edge.
