And there will come a day of battle, for all of us together, when against Hellas the barbarian sword will be raised and they will implore the Celtic god of war, the last Titans in the storm of the far West will rush like snowflakes, countless, like the stars that crowd the heavenly meadows. [...] Near my temple the enemy phalanxes will be seen and already beside my tripods, the swords and belts, the insolent weapons, and the hateful shields that for the Gauls, a delirious race, will mark the path of a cruel fate.

(Callimachus, Hymns, IV)

Are you a connoisseur of the Cletic hymn?

Hello, why this singular question? You are welcome!

Well, I understand, sorry for the confusion! You're referring to the anthem on my presentation sheet, I assume; my apologies...

      Just.

Let's say yes, I believe it well characterizes some of my "visions" of the past, an ideal Arcadia that appears radiant but also fierce; specifically, what I have chosen paints an excellent portrait of the profanation of the Delphic temple...

Here you are again!! Congratulations again, it would be interesting to gather everything into a single "concept," I can also find the Hellenes here, Arcadian landscapes... After all, we also come from that splendid culture... Then the war drums, martial, after the initial idyll, delightful... A marvelous fusion! Well done!!

This is perhaps the most heartfelt piece I have composed. I deliberately chose not to include vocals, allowing for that melancholy, melodic air that is pregnant with death at the same time. The images then unfolded spontaneously, in their rawness, but at the same time with a touch of grotesque romanticism.

Without a doubt, there is destruction, the march of a rhythmic step, and also, as you rightly say, a "grotesque romanticism" that envelops everything in a decadent space; this is what my spirit aims for as well, very good Mad.

And today, given the gloomy and funereal weather, I'm getting back to work.
Joking aside, I might actually have almost a whole album in my hands ahahahah

      It could be...who knows.
The music is strange and often eludes desires and good intentions.

      That's exactly right...

      It's an indefinable chaos.
I started with a fairly traditional score and then I ended up in an illogical dissonance, so now I wonder: which of the two has a logic to exist?

everything that breaks logic is logical!

Meanwhile, I’ll continue and see what comes out of it. Even "Dura Lex, sed Lex" had a bit of a strange connection at one point.

Very interesting, it reminds me of the spatio-temporal concepts of Sant'Agostino that I was telling you about, or rather the Tronus Abyss! Evocative, meditative, and at the same time it has within it the alchemical vein that blends ferocity and reflection, instinct and reason!

      Thank you very much.
These are very instinctive and primitive pieces in their structure and sounds.
They are not designed to please, of course, but to reflect, especially "IO," while "Περί Φύσεως" is connected to the poem "On Nature" by Parmenides. The images in the video are photos taken by me at the archaeological excavations of Velia, the ancient Elea, where Parmenides lived and developed his thought and philosophical school.

It feels instinctive but, indeed, also philosophical; after all, thought, the very love for knowledge is ancestral. Congratulations once again.

In the meantime, in just 4 hours, I’ve created another track and now I’m checking how the mastering and mixing turned out.

Hi, just heard it now! Excellent example of the musical rendition of what the "spirit" of solar cults is. Thanks for the heads up!

I will shortly publish a second piece, time off from work permitting. It is already completed, but I need to do all the mastering and final mixing work first. It will be in the same vein as this one, with the only difference being that I will be using instruments more related to the cultures of the Far and Middle East.

But do you have a group? Do you have any work planned?
    • Madlegion71

Let's say I do everything by myself, also because I live completely isolated in a village of just over 200 inhabitants, of which 70% are over 80, among the Picentini mountains, and so the chance of contacting other musicians is practically zero.
Having my personal recording studio at home, I’m fortunate to be able to compose and produce everything by myself.
Shortly, I will start a very strange collaboration with a singer from Salerno, but for now it's top secret. We're just evaluating how to move forward, given the absolute stylistic differences between the two of us. But as we know, sometimes the most absurd and illogical experiments can be useful for growth and learning to navigate alien territories.
As for the rest, I continue with my productions, sometimes stylistically contrasting.
