Thanks to his love for classical music, Malmsteen invented the so-called "Neoclassical Metal".

Songs like "Black Star" and "Far Beyond The Sun" are still his flagship pieces.

Yngwie J. Malmsteen's Rising Force is the neoclassical metal project led by Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. Debuting with Rising Force (1984), the group fused baroque/classical motifs with heavy metal, followed by Marching Out (1985), Trilogy (1986) and Odyssey (1988). Later releases include Attack!! (2002) and Unleash the Fury (2005).

 In my opinion, the Swedish guitarist is a genius of neoclassical metal, of which he is also the leading figure, he is considered its creator.

 The album is wonderful and truly deserves a listen. It is the Bible of neoclassical power-metal.

 Contrary to what many staunch critics think, the musical content of this album prevails over any other aspect, including technique.

 Rising Force represents a milestone in the genre and also an absolute zenith for Yngwie himself.
