THE REVIEW

A pleasant surprise, this "Fever To Hell" comes out two years after the EP "Yeah Yeah Yeahs". An album to be understood with various influences ranging from rock'n roll to noise, from garage to new wave, from punk to post-rock that vaguely reminds of the White Stripes and the Strokes.
Many people criticize this album as boring and innovative, therefore not beautiful, but not me! On the contrary, I would say that I like it quite a bit, I like the "noise" in the background, I like the way the charismatic vocalist Karen'O sings and her sexual verses in her songs, and I like the fact that they play this rock'n roll revival with drums and guitar and many other things. Of course, it may not be a masterpiece but certainly worthy of being listened to by each of you. "PIN," "Cold Night," "Tick," "Rich," and the ballads "Maps," "Y-Control," and "Modern Romance" are beautiful.

Karen O exudes boundless energy, like the younger sister of Iggy Pop.

Their dirty sound is spontaneous, direct, and nonchalant, at times almost punk.
