LA RECENSIONE

Dave Morecroft, leader of World Service Project, has always been regarded by the English punk jazz scene as an enlightened figure, a genius of modern jazz. On this occasion, he transforms the outrageous punk jazz of WSP into something more complex than punk jazz. We witness a sonic journey that, with references to progressive rock, noise music, and even reaching the "freaked-out" psychedelia that characterizes tracks like Fuming Duck, reinvents both himself and the punk jazz scene with an originality that gives meaning to this new record. Constantly on tour around the world, they clearly do all the aforementioned with a very direct, vital, visceral approach, which makes the record even more honest and credible.
