First recording effort for the Woodwall from Lunigiana (hailing from the deep depths of Carrara's province, specifically from Licciana Nardi) who released the splendid "Woodempire" in 2013. Signed to our own Red Sound Records, which wisely recognized the enormous potential of a band that is just starting out but has already reached a fairly high level of artistic maturity.
This album demonstrates this, being a bit of everything in the end. Metal, psychedelia, Doom, Stoner. The band has skillfully blended all these musical traditions into an absolutely personal vision. From the title track built on a musical carpet of synths and dark guitar refrains to the explosive "King Stuste," a true musical manifesto of the Tuscan quartet. One of the characteristics of Woodwall's style is the dirty vocals of Matteo Signanini, who is good at giving personality to the proposal.
"Red Toad" is an instrumental psychedelic gem. One of the best is "Locrian," a track with a high Acid Rock content.
Promising and already at an almost excellent compositional level. Woodwall succeed in the feat and leave the scene with another beautiful chapter of our own Rock, made with heart and talent. The only thing left to do now is to see them live.
