In 1982, the album "Saints and Sinners" by the legendary Whitesnake, led by the great David Coverdale, was released.
Following the unsuccessful "Come and Get It," they decided to record an album with faster, more vibrant tracks, even though the band continued to love their dear boogie, a style with which the album is filled.
The first track is the powerful "Young Blood" where a good riff accompanies David's extraordinary voice, adding a touch of extra originality to the song. The second song is the hard rock of "Rough And Ready", an AC/DC style piece with a great rock’n’roll riff and a solid performance from Coverdale, who manages to demonstrate his rock-blues spirit. This is followed by the carefree boogie of "Bloody Luxury" and the beautiful semi-ballad "Victim Of Love" where David places his typical amorous lyric. The fifth piece is the magnificent "Crying In The Rain", a romantic song where Coverdale manages to have a powerful and solemn tone, with a good blues line and a decent guitar solo. The journey continues with a very famous hit, "Here I Go Again", which begins with a soft, subdued keyboard and an impassioned voice, as if praying.
The tone becomes more lively and seductive before exploding into the grand chorus with its catchy riff. The seventh song is the dynamic "Rock And Roll Angels" while the next one is the good "Love And Affection", characterized by a nice keyboard solo. After "Dancing Girls", the least convincing track on the album, we move on to the powerful title track, where a strong Led Zeppelin influence can be felt, accompanied by a good riff and David's charismatic voice that fittingly concludes this magnificent album by Whitesnake.
